Nice Campsite on A Lake

I choose a campsite on the lake with some shade. The Campsite was only about half full and was quite. Some sites have a fire ring and grill mine only had a grill but I made it work. Many of the sites have lots of shade. The restroom was clean.

Gem!!!

Located just off of Lake Crocket, this campground is the perfect stay. There are about 10 sites, all with lake views. Visiting in the fall season October/November, there was hardly anyone here. Tent campers cleared out by Sunday. Enjoyed a quiet week stay, with occasional drive by. Lots of fisherman on the lake, boat lunch visible on the east side of the lake. Each site has a fire ring, grill, and table. We kept the solar batteries fully charged all week. Sites on the outer side have great hammock trees. Surprisingly clean pit toilets, and water. No trash, pack it out! Full bars of 5G on T-Mobile, 300/35 mbps dl/ul. Perfect site for tents, vans, teardrop/pop-up/truck campers. First come, first serve - east pay on recreation.gov. Scan the QR code, half off with America the beautiful pass

Awesome ,secluded no tv no cell service quality time

Im a big time camper no less than 20times a year me and wife still work is y.But this is not clamping , this is where me and my son who is active duty and couple more buddies go to hunt and hang around camp fire and eat and 🍻.No tv no cell service just us and the stars lol. Btw we sleep in back of trucks no caper with heat.WE LOVE THIS 10 OR 11 SPOTS TO CAMP PARK

Unimpressive...

This is a unique park without any fan fair from what is called a National anything. Coincidentally this is a National Grassland area and looked to be ran by the forest service with the similar campground organization. This particular are looked like it hasn't been taken care of since it was constructed. The bathrooms were in disrepair, buildings and infrastructure were falling down a little bit and it looked like rangers hadn't visited in some time. If you RV camp, this could be a decent stop over for a night and you like to fish. There weren't any hookups for RV's but the price of $4 a night can't be beat. There were a few tables and fire pits sprinkled around the area but no formal sites other than that from what I could tell.

West Lake Crockett

This is another great hidden away campground in the Caddo National Grasslands Wildlife Management Area. It is only 3 miles from Coffee Mill campground, but does not have the parking lot area for lake access. The camp features around 8-10 campsites; established fire rings and picnic tables at each. The toilets are pit toilets. As you can see in one of the photos there is this cool old fireplace, looks like a CCC build, just out in the middle of a sunny grassy area. It was overall a pleasant campground, my only concern would be the bugs if it is hot weather. The campground is close to the lake, and I can see mosquitoes being an issue in the summer.
