Nice place
Great little place. Nice showers and amenities.
Awesome Campground by far!
This campground is awesome. It has beautiful views with hiking trails connected to it. Spots are spacious with full hookups. The staff are very friendly. WiFi is strong and is great. Golf resorts amenities are part of the reservation. For sure will be coming back.

Best RV Resort we’ve stayed at yet!
This place was the crème de la crème imo. Nice big sites with full hookup, picnic table and fire ring. A really nice pool area with free towels provided and very nice bathrooms with hot showers. There was a huge laundry facility as well. The dog park has water and two picnic tables with sun shades. Multiple poo bag stations around the park and very clean. There’s a trail/dirt road to walk from the campground to the Lajitas General Store (very good breakfast sandwiches). You also get access to the golf resort amenities: fitness center, 3 restaurants, and spa. I treated myself to a Deep Tissue massage and it was incredible!
Best Lux Camp
Very clean campground. At the time we stayed it was important to us to have WiFi for the kids school so we ended up at Maverick. I love the night time no light rule. The park is clean and a nice place for families.
Spring Break Maiden Voyage
Wow! What a place to stay! The backdrop of the mountains were beautiful at these clear sites.
The parking sites are set up like a butterfly, and we were to the right at the perimeter with no one behind us which had more privacy than the inner sites.
These people were so friendly at this resort. Staying open past posted hours, and providing boxes for kindling, and very kind.
The RV sites had concrete pads large enough that we never brought out our outdoor rug.
There was a picnic table and an area to have a fire, though we used a solo stove.
This would be a great place to come during a new moon to view the stars.
We rented a Subaru from Lajitas. The people from check-in at the Rv park shuttled us over then back to our RV site after drop-off via a golf cart.
The car rental was nice as many of the places we wanted to see in Big Bend like Santa Elena Canyon was a 1.5 hour drive.
If going in March or April, go before the week like a Thursday, Friday even a Saturday. Everything was easy in and out during this time…restaurants, reservations for fun activities at Lajitas like their cowboy shooting events (ours was not private and we were driven in an SUV by the instructors to a site) & horse riding.
But come Sunday on whoa!Insane! Super long waits (make reservations for dinner every night well in advance and just cancel if you don’t feel like it. Because even the cafe had 1.5 hour wait for food. We were so happy that we had that optional reservation. Luckily there is a general store just outside the rv park with plenty of foods to make.
Big Bend’s entrance had a super long wait Sunday on but none on Friday or Saturday, so go before the week begins to beat the rush!
The RV park was very calm and peaceful, then Sunday night on kids were very wild, running across and behind camp sites with no parents, throwing rocks. Though this may have been isolated, after we left we still received emails from the RV park stating that kids were doing this and them receiving continued complaints. At least they addressed it and we left on a Monday.
Two nights we heard coyotes howling super melodic, but they stay away as most people had fires and/or were outside.
Perfect place for our maiden voyage. Would come again for sure, during a new moon with a telescope, and , just in case, on a Thursday!
Nice RV park with lots to do
We had a great time here. We mountain biked in the state park and went to Big Bend. I used the exercise room which was very nice. They offer golfing, zip lines, canoe trips and tours. Nice swimming pool. RV sites are close to each other That’s why 4 star.

Desolate area, beautiful scenery
We stayed 4 nights April 2021 when the moon was absent. RV park has dark out rule after dark. Beautiful at night. Great hikes right there at the Maverick Ranch. RV park hookups were stable at 120V. Our shower head fell and broke on the trip in. Park manager had a spare to loan. There are no stores around to buy a fixer. Very nice folks. Bring provisions, everything is pricey around Lajitas and Terelingua.
Very nice!
A very well maintained and clean park. Spacious campsites with pull through and back ins. Easy access to Big Bend Ranch State park and 30 minutes or so from Chisos mtns in Big Bend N.P. Get groceries before you come and make sure your fuel is full. The sky was so clear the Milky Way was beautiful.
Great park in a great place
Affordable. All utilities worked, though there were a few power surges (likely due to a few storms in the area). Wi-Fi was blazing fast, exceeding 60Mbps down and 20Mbps up. Highly recommended.

Best Park in Big Bend Area
great place to stay, although internet was terrible- they have been working on this and i believe they were only waiting for the phone company to finish
RV Park in
Feb/March 2021. I did not camp here but used their very clean showers ($10) and laundromat several times while camping in Big Bend Ranch State Park. There is free WiFi and cell service available, which doesn’t exist in the State Park. I also had to have a document printed from my phone, which the camp office personnel was kind enough to do. Every staff person I interacted with was pleasant and helpful.
There is a beautiful and inviting swimming pool with lounge chairs and tables for picnics. Next to the pool area, there’s a large recreation room with TV.
There is a small grocery store (very limited) an easy walk away in Lajitis that also offers simple take out breakfast and lunch.
Maverick Ranch is an excellent place to stay in Lajitis if you have a big rig.
Great place to set up camp to see Big Bend!
We stayed here for four days over thanksgiving and have nothing bad to say about this place whatsoever. Friendly staff. Views from inside the park are great as well. There’s a general store right outside if you need or forgot anything and only about a 20 min drive to Big Bend entrance. Also there are a lot of activities we didn’t try right inside the resort just because of everything going on with COViD but next time we’ll try for sure. Also if you head right out of the RV park entrance, you’ll soon enter Big Bend Ranch State park within minutes and it’s almost just as impressive as big bend with some of the views and trails you can access from it. Closed Canyon trail is a must see as well as the hoodoos trail. Also they do have full hook ups, and 30AMP and 50 AMP.

Amazing place. Highly recommend!
Perfect RV park in a remote part of Texas. WONDERFUL staff and amenities. Everything you need. It's a dark camp so if you have issues turning off your camper lights before 9 or 10 depends on the season this isnt your place. Best stars and moon viewing you'll experience! Close to Big bend and terlingua and all of that area. I will be back and cant say enough good things!!
Amazing night sky view
Maverick RV Park kicked off our RV tour on a great note. Bob - Manager on site was extremely friendly and helpful even did the hook ups for us when we arrive close to 11 pm. Their no light pass 10 pm rule in my opinion was a little too rigid considering park was at 30% capacity and there were no many guest close by to bother but we understand rules. They also rent vehicles for the day - a little overpriced in my opinion- but helpful for those that didn’t have another vehicle with your class A rental and need to move around. Vehicle wasn’t as clean as we would have expected for the price. Overall, we had a great stay and everyone was helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this place.

Excellent place to stay
We stayed in Lajitas at their Maverick Ranch RV park, which is right across the road from the resort. We stayed here for a few days while on a 10 day camping trip (left DFW, went out west to Ft Davis, down to Big Bend and back up through the hill country).
This park is about a 30 minute drive to the entrance to the national park, but just a few minutes from the state park. There’s a lot of great amenities, which normally we don’t care about. However, since this was halfway through our 10-day trip, we were able to do all of our laundry, which made me happy. The RV park has a clubhouse with games, books, laundry, showers and a pool. You also have access to the resort amenities.
The RV park is a dark sky park, so camera are supposed to have exterior lights off after 9 or 10pm so everyone can enjoy the stars.
There’s also a dog park with grass, which our dogs were happy about!

Gorgeous
Beautiful RV park located in Lajitas. It has an outdoor pool and when we went in May, the water was cold but it was nice to float in the pool. The staff were very helpful. It was already starting to get hot at the beginning of May.
The stars are so bright at night and you can easily see the milky way galaxy.
Spiritual
This park maybe out in the middle of nowhere but what a slice of heaven! Beautifully maintained, large sites and very clean restrooms and laundry facilities. Love this place!
Loved it!
The skies at night are big and bright....deep in the heart of Texas! This is a beautiful - completely off the beaten path - well lots of amenities campground. We were there over Memorial Weekend, expecting it to be crowded, it was not. They have 101 camping spots for RV's - plenty of room to spread out. Big spaces can accommodate any size rig. We were pleasantly surprised with the lounge and swimming area, well kept, clean, everything you could need.
If you need groceries, bring them with you, there is a small local store that caters high end good products, but not a lot of them. One local restaurant, one local bar, all part of the resort - if you want to golf, horseback ride, hike, all is available. The nearest anything though is Terlingua (which isn't much.)
What is great about the park is that it is the best available camping near Big Bend National Park. Big Bend is huge and beautiful, lots of water, hot springs, 4 wheel drive trails - it's a park that has a lot of history too. Go there, and go to the Big Bend State Park too - lots of local color.
