Our favorite TX Thousand trails!
This has got to be one of the best campgrounds! We stay here every time we pass through Texas. The campground is huge and offers so many great amenities. People are always super friendly. We have made the most connections of any stay at this campground because of it. I always want to get one of the paved sites at the front because they look so nice! But they are usually taken. It’s so great having an Amazon hub locker right next to the campground as well! You can take your kayak right on to the lake from the access area on the campground. Bathrooms are nice and clean. And the pool / hot tub are open until 11pm which is rare for Thousand Trails!
Great getaway
As a TT member you can't best the price for a very nice park.
Maybe the best Thousand Trails in Texas
Nice amenities, everything is close, unlike some Thousand Trails. Seemed very up-to-date. Reserved 3 nights and extended for a 4th.
Beautiful, family friendly campground
This resort is perfect! With a great pool, hot tub, playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, a lake with a beach and much more this is a great place for a family vacation.
Awesome Park
They got it all here! New spots and pavilion they put in look great. Not surprised so many people choose to stay long-term.
Its a nice resort
I don't personally love being so close to so many people, but everything is very nice, well maintained and clean.
Springbreak
The Resort is full during springbreak.
Needs Some TLC
This place is very nice, but no one is enforcing the rules. Dogs being walked with no leashes, and not picking up behind them. 9 year olds driving golf carts with the adults on the back. Kids in hot tub, even diapered babies, and I saw an offensive flag flying. All of these have rules against them at the park, but I saw no one patrolling the park to enforce any of it! They need to pave the roads, it's so full of potholes and uneven pavement very rough to drive. There's a very small section of paved sites. The rest is on uneven graveled ground and so close together I couldn't walk between our site and the RV parked next to us. Sites NOT assigned, we were told to go find a spot, then come back and tell them what spot we were in. It was so crowded that this process took us about 45 minutes to do. Then go back and get the parking passes for the park. If not for all that I would have given this park 5 stars.
One of the cleanest, roomiest campgrounds we've stayed at
Lake Conroe is located In a rural setting but close enough to Willis and Conroe services. Spaces are large and the landscape is well managed although I was taken aback by the application of herbicides that we try to avoid. Golf cart traffic was an interesting nuance for us, seems like everyone has one. People that we met were friendly. One couple had an incident where someone had gone into their motorhome and stolen their dog. After highly publicizing it in the campground and alerting them of the measures they were taking to finding their fur baby, the dog mysteriously reappeared back in their motorhome days later.
We were here in mid August when temps & humidity were high. The lake and pool are well managed and the time and effort put into their property is apparent. The bathrooms, showers and laundry were pristine.
We camped in site 31 which was nice for view and privacy but when rain came down, the soil from the above sites washed down hill. We were basically sitting in a pool of mud. Our bench was almost unusable due to age and warping. I probably should have but didn't report that to staff. Because of the heat, we spent very little time out there. Although we like to walk, I would recommend they put dumpsters at that lower end of the campground. Aside from these shortcomings, we would return there again.
RV Glamping
Great RV Resort on the lake with a beach. The roads could use a lot of love and the activity center could use a few indoor games especially since it rains a lot during hurricane season. Other than that we really enjoyed our stays here this summer.

Nice camping area
Spots we are a bit small but the lake area was great for swimming, kayaking, and boating. Very family friendly
Busy Campground
We camped here for a long weekend getaway, and wanted to see what a Thousand Trails campground was like. The campground is huge, and you cannot reserve a specific site. You drive around and pick a site, then call and let them know which one you're in. This is fine, but we were looking for a quiet, private site and there are very few of those. We enjoyed our time here in our full hookup site, but the campground was just too busy for our taste. There were vehicles constantly driving up and down the road in front of our site, and lots of children running around. We don't have kids, so this was a little annoying to us. The campground has a lot of amenities such as swimming pool, lake, playgrounds, etc... that would be fantastic for a family. We like to camp for the relaxation and serenity of it, and this campground just isn't that type of place.
Could use updates to some sites
We spend Thanksgiving in this campground. We arrived shortly after checkin and had limited selection of sites. The person at checkin did have a good site recommendation. Beware that not all sites have full hookups. For the size of the place I would have explained small convenience store but they only had ice. Our site backed up to some trees so that was nice. Good dog park and plenty of activities available. I walk the dog a lot and run and road around the grounds needs to be repaved, lots of pot holes and uneven areas.

Great place!
Loved this place! super easy to find and near all major shops! Bathrooms were super clean and modern, easy access to the lake and dog friendly. We stayed for just 2 nights but we def will be coming back!
Great spot.
Would stay again.
Very well kept TT campground
The campground is well laid out. Easy access to sites, amenities and the Lake. Although its a small portion of the lake on the campgrounds side, you do have access to boat rentals, a boat launch and plenty of parking. So if you have a boat, it will be a wonderful experience. Plus there is a beach area for families to enjoy.
The cottages look almost brand new. The campground even has a location to wash your RV or vehicle.

Family neighborhood
Great family atmosphere and amenities, well kept and friendly staff. Working on expanding in 2020
Best TT by far!
Truly a great place! Friendly staff, nice facilities, and it's on a lake with an actual beach!
Each time is a new experience
This is our 4th trip here. And we have already planned our 5th. We love how big this park is. Each time we come and get a new site, it’s like a whole new park. Nestled in the trees our first time out with rocks, and today we are on a flat concrete pad. Lots of room to bike. We love the lake. We haven’t even used the pool or facilities because of Covid but we still love it here. Everyone complains of the roads but nothing different than the state parks we use. So far we have had no problems with the equipment or hook ups. Bath houses are nice but we don’t use them. The dog park is perfect for you and your puppers to make new friends. There is a boat launch and pier for fishing. Plus catfish cove. I did not have any luck in the little bass pond. I will say, this place gets busy on a Holiday but the kids like having so many others to play with. We especially loved our evening basketball tournaments.
Thousand Trails
This is the best Thousand Trails we have been to in Texas so far! They have the best and the cleanest bathroom/showers I have ever seen. The pool is large clean and great furniture! They have tennis, pickle ball, basketball, mini golf and beach volleyball. The only thing I did not care for is the pull thru RV sites are really close together! This is a must visit park!
