Caring staff
A great place to stay overnight or longer. This RV park is well maintained and the staff’s goal is to ensure you have a great stay.
Nice campground
Overall nice campground. You can hear Highway noise but your only 5 miles from Austin. Pool was refreshing and sites were spacious and easy to get into. Laundry facility is clean and easy to use especially with the app.

Clean, no frills and close’ish’ to main stuff in Austin
If you are just looking for a base camp close to Austin so u can go see the main attractions then this place is great. You could Uber to certain areas like downtown Austin, Congress St etc. Tons of clean bathrooms and showers, tho dated still great. Grocery store is walking distance. Laundry machines are small and most were out of order. Ur right off a main highway so don’t expect to go for a nice walk with ur dog, in that case take them to Onion creek where they can galavant off leash on that trail.
Excellent park
Well maintained. Mostly pull through. Paved. Great individual bathrooms. Pool. On-site store and propane fill Station. Great Verizon. Nice staff. Gated.

Great accommodations
This is a very clean facility with great accommodations. Pet friendly with beautiful trees. Some road noise from I-35 so don’t expect peace and quiet. I highly recommend it.
Good Basecamp
Clean and landscaped. Easy getting around in Austin and to the wonderful small towns in the hill country. Walking distance to HEB. Many great BBQ places in the area, Wimberly Glass, parks.
Perfect Austin stay
This rv resort plays up the RESORT aspect. It’s near perfect.
Right off the highway, safe (gated entry), well kept, pretty.
The owners do a great job of contacting you with all the instructions and help you might need before you even arrive. There are bath houses, a pool, and even a playground for kids.
The spots are gravel ( a little unlevel due to the slight hills) but perfectly spaced with full hook up.
We had a quiet, peaceful Stu. Will absolutely come back!
Great, clean park with many amenities
This is a great energy park for a city RV park. The pool is heated (although still cold in January). The bathhouses are nice and clean. It is very clean and just an overall nice place to stay with dogs and kids. They have a dog park for the dogs and playground for the kids!
Austin Lone Star RV Resort
Located only 9 miles from popular, South Congress and downtown Austin this resort is right off the interstate but nestled in between bushes and trees that offer a sense of privacy. Each site feels spacious and comes with its own picnic table and full hook-ups.
The showers and bathrooms are private and very clean. There are plenty, so there always seems to be at least one available no matter what time of day. The pet area is spacious and clean and has benches. There is a nice laundry room, children’s playground and pool for guests to enjoy as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Austin Lone Star RV Resort.
Quite nice for a city RV park.
Most RV "resorts" we've come across are just parking lots where everyone is stacked on top of each other. We were very surprised at the spacing here. You could fit another RB in between us and the next person. Plus, the trees and bushes make it feel more natural.
Staff greeted us, and took us to our spot even though we arrived several hours before check in. Very easy access to downtown Austin, about a 15 minute drive.
Full hookups. Extremely clean, well maintained and updated. Most spots are pull through, with a few back in spots on one side.
Nice laundromat. AND... they have a propane service where you just put your empty tanks behind your rig, they come pick them up and fill for you and just put it on your tab like having a hotel room. Super cool...
It is right next to I-35, and you can hear the highway noise. But overall, not bad.

Location, Location, Location
This campground is so close to downtown! We were there in about 10 or 15 minutes. Our spot is gravel and level. Not too many empty spots! We have a nice table outside and a small grill. Large trees at all the spots provide shade and give you a little privacy from the close campers. Recommend!
Wonderfully surprised
I was a bit uncertain considering it was right off the interstate and close to downtown. It is quiet and reasonably spaced between sites. Lots of shade trees. They give you a fantastic welcome gift. The dog park is big enough to throw a frisbee and it has artificial turf. Very clean.
High End Camping
This RV park is in an ideal location for exploring Austin. It's located along the freeway, so there is some road noise. However, at night it was pretty quiet. There are full-timers but also plenty of travelers passing through. Sites are fairly close together. The amenities were great--nice pool, fitness center, and sparkling clean bathrooms. Unfortunately we were there when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and the pool and fitness center were closed down after we only used them once. When we return to Austin we'll stay here again.
Very clean campground close to downtown Austin
Very nice campground, very secure, codes used to enter gate, pool, showers/restrooms & 24hour laundry room. Highly recommend this campground, staff was very nice
RV park with cabins, game room, pool and wonderful professional staff
Family of 5, Grandma, Mom & 3 teenage boys, well organized, had after hours packet ready that was a pleasure to have. Clear and with tag for the truck. Pull through sites, nice trees and a wonderful first time at location. We will go back and recommend it to everyone.
