Wonderful experience!

We came with friends for Fall Break and shared a buddy site, it was wonderful! Fun activities (we did BINGO & Trivia), hiking, a very nice pool & hot tub with splash pad and walk-in pool entry. The shower houses & restrooms were immaculate! So clean! We were sad to see they were already booked for next fall break - if you’re considering, book well in advance!

Good location for a large resort best off-season

I like the location of this resort near Cades Cove after October tourist season. Rates and crowds drop, otherwise avoid. I like in December and see lights of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. Nice brewery nearby.

This place is awesome! It’s not just an RV resort, they have so much more! Glamping, cabins, airstreams…something for everyone!

There are so many options for activities here to keep the whole family happy.

The bathrooms are really nice. Every thing about this place is nice. Sites are level. The river is perfect to explore, watch or relax by.

A little piece of paradise, right next to the park.

We’ve been through this area several times and nothing compares to this camping resort. The amenities that this campground provides are top-notch: from their beautiful pool complex, restrooms and showers, laundromat, pavilion, coffee station, facility staff, this place is fantastic. I so appreciate the intelligent little touches like having a QR code and being able to accept Venmo for firewood purchases after hours, such simple touches make your stay a breeze. We had a creekside campground, with firepit, covered picnic table and full hookups. With our small travel trailer, sometimes it’s nice to be surrounded by larger campers because it means you have the whole bathroom to yourself. This place is so well maintained and, although loaded with amenities, still offers peace, quiet and lovely natural surroundings.

Upscale and quiet

Little Arrow Outdoor Resort is an upscale campground located just minutes from Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The campground has several different types of accommodations. We stayed in a large, pull-through buddy site, a space that accommodates two RVs. Buddy sites are paved and have hookups for both RVs. We loved the covered cabana with outdoor string lights, a cooking area with a sink, and a large table and chairs because it was the perfect place to hang out with our friends who shared the site with us. Our dogs' favorite part of the campground was our site's turf grass patch. Everything, from the facilities, decor, and signage to the pavilion, nature trail, and gift shop, has personalized touches, which add to the experience.

I enjoyed Townsend and the campground so much that I won't ever stay close to the Gatlinburg side of the national park again.

Awesome Location right outside the park

We are traveling in our 33 ft travel trailer. We work full time remotely and use our hotspot to do so. The Verizon service in the rv section of the campground is very poor and we were not able to use the hotspot. The service is better higher up in the campground. The campground does offer wifi (paid) that was fast enough for me to work and do video calls. They kindly offered us vouchers for a couple of days as well.

The campground is super cute. The pool and hot tub area is gorgeous. They have a coffee lounge with communal board games which is cute. The bathrooms and laundry room are clean and very nice. Our dog also loved their dog park.

Their check in system was perfect for our late check in.

We visited in the winter and it was cold enough that they had us turn our water off every night at 6 which was inconvenient but not a real problem considering how nice the showers are.

We stayed in spot A1 which felt a little small because it butts right up to a yurt, but it was enough space for us. Especially considering how cold it was, we didn’t spend much time on the patio.

Beautiful Campground with Loads of Amenities

We had a blast at this campground. The river or creek that wraps around the campground was so fun. Make sure to bring tubes but you can buy some if you forget. The pool was the nicest pool I have ever been to at a campground. We stayed in one of the premium pull through sites which worked as a buddy site. Two families and campers fit very comfortably on the pad and it had its own outdoor kitchen.

A couple of things to point out. The WIfi is not great and there is zero cell service. This was fine for us but I do think you should know before going. It would be really challenging to work remotely.

Also, there are bears. We saw 5 and one came through our campsite during dinner. They were very friendly and honestly just acted like giant racoons but you should be aware that you shouldn't leave food or garbage out.

Lots of Amenities and Close to the Smoky Mountains National Park

We loved this campground! Very nice and spacious sites. The campground was developed along the Little River and is absolutely gorgeous! The bathhouses are the nicest I have ever seen. The sites were level and had full hook-ups. They are renovating the pool and it looks like it will be amazing. It was easy to get to anything Smoky Mountain related including Cades Cove. If camping isn't your thing, they also have vacation homes, glamping tents, tiny houses, and airstreams to rent. We rode our bikes at Cades Cove which is closed to cars on Wednesdays, hiked the Spruce Flat Falls Trail and Rainbow Falls Trail. It was a great camping experience!

Great place right on the river but no Verizon coverage

Great place. Beautiful views on the river. Very clean. Large sites with really nice patios. Only problem is no and I mean zero Verizon cell coverage. Internet it’s OK to stream movies but I had to go to their coffee house for reliable WiFi when I was working.

Had high hopes

I had super high expectations for this campground based on other reviews.  I was disappointed.

I will preface this by saying, I go camping to be in nature and listen to nature, relax, read a book.  If you like to go camp and sit in your RV at all times, this place would be great.

We stayed on a riverfront site A30 in the A loop.

Our site was pretty, right on the water.  However, there is a A LOT of road noise coming from the other side of the little river at all hours of the day and night. It was not exactly relaxing and peaceful with dozens of motorcycles going by at a time.  The C loop on the other side of the campground for riverfront sites may be farther off the road a little quieter.

We stayed in A30 which has a nice entrance into the water.  There are public campground entrances to get to the river for everyone to use, but A30 has a nice entrance to the water, so there will be lots of people walking through your campsite to get to the water if you stay here, despite there being signs asking them not to.

Wi-Fi is included for 1 device per day that you’re there.  After that, there is an extra fee and it does not even work half the time.  I go to unplug but couldn’t even get a couple of iMessages to go out.

The bath houses were excellent, by far they were the best thing about this place. Very clean, spacious, and well appointed.

If we do go back, it will be to stay on the opposite side of the property, much farther back off the main road and pray for a little more peace and quiet.

One of our favorites !

We love this place! It’s right outside one of the entrances to the Great Smoky Mountains and about 20 minutes from Cades Cove. The town of Townsend is super cute with lots of shops, a winery, coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. We also enjoy the river rafting nearby. The actual campground is extremely clean, bathrooms are jaw dropping beautiful! They always have activities for kids and adults. Food trucks and coffee trucks are usually there. We always enjoy our stay here. It’s not secluded, it’s busy! But space between sites is pretty decent for a busy campground.

If Pottery Barn made a campground...

This is a BEAUTIFUL outdoor resort with five star amenities, truly. We have camped here as a tent camper, and in our camper. The sites are small and close together, but this is still one of my favorite places to camp. You don't feel like you're on top of one another. The grounds are well appointed, landscaped, and maintained. The playground is beautiful and the kids loved it. There is a community firepit with rocking chairs around it, and it looks like it came out of a Martha Stewart magazine. The bathrooms were FABULOUS. SERIOUSLY. I've never wanted to bathe I'm a campground bathroom before, but I do it out of necessity. Well these bathrooms were luxurious and modern and so SO clean. I gladly bathed in the showers here and felt so clean afterwards! Lol. The bathrooms are locked with a pinpad and the codes are given upon check-in so you know random people aren't walking in off of the highway or anything. There is a pool on site, but we stayed in the fall so we didn't get to use it. There are also cabins and yurts available and they look really nice! There is a coffee shop on site also, with a playroom for small kids, and nice comfy chairs to lounge in. The coffee comes from a local artisan coffee roasters up the road and it was so tasty. The owners live onsite and are present and interacting with the campers. They run the office and shop, they checked us in and sold us our firewood. One weekend we were there (Fall) they had a live band for entertainment, on a Saturday evening, and it was awesome. They also had a S'mores bar set up for the kiddos, so that was pretty cool. We spent a lot of time at the community firepit meeting people and having adult beverages. It was wonderful! The campground also offers free WiFi and cable so we hooked up our TV and tailgated (during football season) and had an awesome time.

Used to be Tremont campground but under new ownership.

Expensive but worth it. The owners are going all out with this campground. Tiny homes, glamping tents, and cabins for rent. Then there are on river and off river RV sites. The on river rv sites have a gazebo over the picnic table. Great facilities that are only being made better.

It is right before the entrance to the Smoky Mountain National Park. Townsend is called the peaceful side of the Smoky Mountains.
