We go here for our big vacay for the year
My husband and I love ocean lakes. We are from PA so this is quite different than the campgrounds we are used to, but when we go here we go for a week and make a vacation out of it. Beautiful campground with beach access, tons of amenities, and close to all the Myrtle Beach funness. Will continue to go back. We go in September after school starts back up so it's still very warm but not as crazy busy as it is during the summer.
Great place for everyone to enjoy
Family oriented, clean, fun, lots to do!! Pools, slides, lazy River, huge game room, recreation for all ages, everything you need and never have to leave!!
Ocean lakes campground
Great place to stay with a rv and kids very close beach access and very clean great rv parts store as well
Not our type of place but very clean
Extremely tight and very crowded. However, it has very clean and plentitude of facilities. Food at snack bar was good for campground. Expedited entry upon arrival when we pre-booked. Excellent place for family or someone looking to stay directly on the beach. Not our scene, but nice place
All the amenities
Great park. Tons to do and on a beach. Look forward to coming back again.

Amazing campground with lots to do
Great place for the kids. Playgrounds, summer concerts, dining etc is close by too. It buts up against Myrtle Beach Resort so our friends stayed there while we camped sometimes. A bar restaurant is on the resort property next door within walking distance. Less fees than Other places nearby

Steps from the ocean
This place has everything! Literally. A market, arcade, snake bar, equipment rental, water park, mini golf, and on and on... I have stayed in Surfside Beach hotels before and love falling to sleep listening to the waves crashing on shore. I never thought I could do the same and bring my own bathroom! And if you like to walk, the quaint and beautiful town of Surfside Beach is only 1.5 miles down the beach. We saw pelicans, gulls and dolphins. The sites are quite close together, but all are full hook-up. Highly recommend Ocean Lakes.

Absolute pleasure
We have been going to Ocean Lakes for over 20 years. We started out taking our daughter, and now are taking our grandkids. OC is definitely our happy place. A+++
Great Location, but HUGE
We loved the spot we for right by the ocean. Overall, it was a bit too crowded for our style of camping.
Hard to describe this place
This place is weird, but my kids LOVE it! Once you are set up you don’t have to leave Ocean Lakes until you check out. It’s on the beach, has its own water park, putt putt, arcade, community building with entertainment and Sunday church services. There are also lakes for fishing, a snack bar, and laundry facilities. We like to stay in the K section with a tree for shade. We have a pop up. The section up towards the beach is basically a parking lot with very little privacy. You can rent golf carts when you arrive, if you want, but you don’t have to. Every time I’ve been there it was clean and family friendly. No late-night drama. If you are looking for a more natural camping experience, try Huntington State Park.
Huge! Clean! Beautiful !
We had a perfect spot, right on the beach. It is an enormous park, they have beach houses, permanent homes, mobile homes and rv spaces. The RVs get the best spot. The water park looked fun (I was there off season) and everything was clean and the employees friendly. Would stay here again when passing through to a final destination.
Super
Big resort with homes, cabins,rv sites. ocean front camping. If your site is towards front it is a long walk to beach.great amenities including a lazy river. Books up fast so plan ahead.
Fun family trip
We spend three nights at Ocean Lakes. I didn't have much contact with any on the staff except for check in and the one night we ate there at their little resteraunt. Staff wasn't overly friendly, but no one was rude. The campsite was roomier than I actually expected, we were in K section and had a concrete pad, our site was very level with a large tree. We were a short walk away from the beach! Overall our stay was enjoyable. The bath houses were clean, and the campground well maintained. We did have dog waste on our site when we arrived, so that was kind of gross, but overall people seemed to pick up after their pets. If you like quiet I would avoid the weekends in October, due to their Halloween celebration. Lots of kids on golf carts, speed limit is 10 MPH but it wasn't enforced on Friday night as far as I could tell, we had a couple of close calls. Quiet time is at 11 and on Friday night it was noisy past midnight, but the two nights before that the campground was very laid back and quiet. The pool was very cold (off season) but my son still loved it and it is a very nice area. The beach is the best part, it was beautiful! Overall I recommend this campground, and we will stay here again!
Convenient and Great Amenities
We just finished our stay at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in Myrtle Beach, SC. We enjoyed it and will return.
Cons: no shade, sites really tight, a lot of golf carts zooming around, internet flakey - if you could stay connected it was good, site not level
Pros: right on the beach, a ton of amenities - including potable water, affordable for being on the beach with full hookup (e,w,s,c,i), concrete pad available, super easy to get to (it has its own intersection redlight).

The Best Campground in MB
This campground has it all!! So much to do here .. safe place to stay .. A+
Words can't describe!
This place is crazy fun! If you want a quiet, low key place in the summer, this is not for you. But if you want lively, family fun, crazy golf carts and friendly campers, then you should check this place out! We loved it and will be back!
AMAZING
Very friendly, and clean! The employees are super respectful.
Small city
This place is huge. It’s comparable to a small city. There’s a lot of houses and a good bit of campsites. A golf cart is a must have here to get around. The lots are nice some are concrete and others aren’t. They are full hookup with cable. In the section we stayed in had very few trees so I’d recommend a pop up tent. Has a restaurant and laundry mat on site as well as a store. Very nice pool with a couple water slides and a lazy river.

Great family place
We’ve stayed here many times it’s a great family campground with plenty for kids to do as well as beach access for the campground and golf cart rentals so you don’t have to walk to the beach.
Won’t be back
I’ve stayed once before in a rental property and had a great time. The Camper experience however was much different. The staff except for the lovely gentleman who helped direct traffic at the gate was all very rude. As we got to our site, there was a camper still there. We called the office and was told we would either have to take another site or leave the premises until they were able to get down there and have the camper moved. No apology, no refund or future discount for the inconvenience, and the manager had a poor attitude the entire conversation. The sites are packed and the roads are small and the golf carts are endless so getting in and out and back in seemed nearly impossible so we chose the other site. We happened upon more rude fellow campers than pleasant ones. All in all we were there and had a good time as long as we stayed to ourself and our campsite but we will not be returning.
How much can you grow?
This campground has it all. All the kids in Myrtle Beach as well. Watch out for the golf carts. Not much shade and it seems like every year they give up more camping spaces for more houses and permanent sites. Has all the amenities one could want, you never have to leave the campground if you don’t want to. But... look out for the kids!
Off-Season Camping
We visited December 28th through January 5th. Obviously the pool was closed and the beach was cold. However. There is an indoor pool, arcade, and an environmental center with good displays and also offered hands on activities.
Awsome
Awsome place so much things to do
Tight and busy
Place is Huge! Roads are a bit tight and a lot of golf cart traffic, beautiful place and clean, the camp store is HUGE and has it ALL great beach access and golf cart rentals
BIG CAMPGROUND
This is a massive campground! On average when school is out they have over 30,000 campers a day!! To accommodate they have a HUGE water park and countless other amenities. The best part is that it’s on the ocean in an area where the beach isn’t crowded. Staff is good and they’re sticklers for the rules.
Awesome
Great campground plenty of big spots but very busy in the heat of the summer
Great summer campground
My family has been camping here for many years. We always enjoy our time @ Ocean Lakes!
Awesome family campground
We loved camping here. We rented a golf cart and never left the campground. Great lazy river, water splash zone, store and snack area. Really big shaded lot in the K area that was close to everything.

Amazing! Everything is right here.
This place is like a small city! Could stay here & never have to leave! Good level spots, old shade trees. Laundry & grocery store complete with fishing & souvenirs! Even a post office! Free fresh drinking water, lots of immaculate showers & bathrooms. Trash pick up at your site! Its own water park & swimming pools. Truly a great vacation place for families . Beach is right there!
Top 1% park in the country for a reason
This resort has everything you need if you want to camp next to the ocean. They clean the bathrooms three times a day, they are heated in the winter and a/c in the summer.
Most of the lots are concrete, or you can find some a little cheaper without concrete. They offer water, sewer and 30/50 amp service on every lot. The lots are level and nice.
If you want to rent a house, they have that option as well.
Nice grocery store, walk up window to order food or treats. Nice size laundromat. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Water park with a mat racer slide, tube slide and a lazy river. The kids splash zone is really nice.
Everyone rides golf carts around. Lots of security on staff to keep as many people in line as possible. The nightly golf cart parade on the strip from 7-11 is pretty cool.
Don't like crowds? Go in the off-season. This place has it all!
