Hostile Staff - weird senseless rules

Booked for our class A and our Froends Travel trailer. Got refused for the travel trailer having a small slide. Our big class a has slides on both sides and was ok. We only got half of the booking fee back for the refused admission. They kept over 200$ and were horribly rude to our friends. This used to be a nice kept place with welcoming staff. We had been here many times over the last years. Horrible and humiliating experience. We will never return ever! Tired ameneties, potholed in the street and hostile staff. Their reception is not even staffed anymore. I guess thry are not planning on having many transient guests anyhow. Up the road you get a newer, pristine campground with fantastic ameneties like a gorgeous ressort pool, including a lazy river, dog run, hiking trail, live music, kids activities and super friendly very attentive staff. I wish I had booked there in the first place. We will never go back to Hilton Head Marina.

Okay

Of the three campgrounds on/near Hilton Head we’ve stayed in, this one is a distant third. It’s ok. A little tired. Super unfriendly in the restaurant. Location is pretty since it’s on the water. Good proximity to everything.

I loved it!

HIlton Head Harbour is one of two nicer big rig campgrounds on HHI. In my opinion it’s the better of the two. It is set on a beautiful working marina and has a very coastal Carolina feel. Nicely landscaped and quiet. Lots of water views and a great restaurant next door. Wi-fi was great as well. Staff were friendly. Nice concrete pads at all sites. we paid extra for a waterfront site and it was fantastic. Lots of friendly lot owners as well as some lots have been sold permanently. I will be going back again and again!

Great view

This place has two pools, an amazing view from certain sites, and many water activities on the property.

It is close to the beaches and great seafood.

Hilton Head Island SWEET spot

This is a great location on HHI. The sites are level, landscaped and private. There are full hook ups including WiFi and cable. We liked it so much we stayed for an extra week. There are water views from some sites. It is very pet friendly. There are 2 pools and a tennis court. One of the best restaurants on the island, Sunset Grill, is on the property by the marina. I’m taking one star off because there is no traffic light at the entrance and traffic can be bad making left turns out of Jenkins Rd.

Amazing RV Marina Resort

Spectacular RV resort. Waterfront site is gorgeous…spacious, peaceful, serene, secluded, and private. On the other hand, it has all water sports amenities that you can think of (kayaks, jet skis, boats, paddleboards, etc.). Short drive to HH beaches and the tourist areas, as well as Savannah. Will definitely stay here again.

Overrated - poor service

We stayed here twice in the last two months. First time was fine but not exceptional. The RV park itself is highly variable. Each site is owned by different owners and the RV park has rights to rent them out. None of the sites have fire pits. Some have chimneas. The sites are also maintained in a highly variable way. The electrical on the second site we stayed at was very sketchy. Hard to describe except the plugs were broken and the electrical panel itself was ragged and broken. We recently did a side trip that had us staying two days at this place. We reserved two weeks in advance and we're glad to get the site with no issues. When we showed up the lady at the front desk was out right rude. They are what I call "fake nice". The lady told me that because they change reservation systems and we didn't pick out a say on the reservation system that they did not have a site for us for two days. They offered us two different sites on two different days. Not only is that a huge pain in the butt but ruined our plans for the day because we had to stick around and wait to move and pack up everything. What infuriated me was the attitude of the people in the front office. They did not give a rip and basically told me to take it or leave it. They didn't offer any discount or concession or anything. They only said that because of the new reservation system they had a rough week. I'm not sure that I'm supposed to feel sorry for them considering the money I'm paying to park there. Also infuriating was my wife had called ahead of time to confirm our reservation and their phones would never would get answered. We will not be staying here again. There's a much nicer option further in on Hilton Head and a really nice new place coming in to Bluffton. Take your money where it will be appreciated maybe these people will learn.

Nice but tight parking

This resort looks absolutely beautiful. When we made our reservation they told us they did not reserve specific sites that we could pick our spot when we arrive. After looking at the map we noticed that all the slots were oriented to facilitate your departure. We arrived after the office was closed and picked up the list of available site. As we started driving into the resort the roads were wide enough for only one camper at a time. We started to go and look at the available sites and noticed not all sites are the same size. This started to concern me that we may not be able to to find a site for our 42ft camper. After navigating the resort we were able to find a site that we liked. These sites do take some practice getting into and some have trees close to the pads. While we were there we saw a guys hit a tree backing into his site. This trip was our third outing in our camper and after 15 minutes we were able to finagle our camper onto the pad. Overall the resort is really nice. The staff was friendly and very helpful and even offer onsite RV repair. The resort is nestled up against the harbor and is very peaceful. While standing on the dock we were able to watch dolphins swim and even saw some sting rays. The staff says that they often have manatees that come into the harbor for a visit. The resort is a 10-15 minute drive to Coligny Beach. If your in the mood for some dole whip, the Disney Resort is just a few minutes away. Recommend staying at the resort during your stay at Hilton Head Island.

Great location, awesome staff

The Hilton Head RV Resort is a great place for RVs. The staff here is super friendly and helpful. The whole campground is well maintained and clean. There are 30 & 50 amp hookups at all sites as well as city water. The only downside to this place is, all of the sites are back in. There are a few sites that are long enough to pull into, but none are pull through.

Aweome RV Resort

Wonderful RV Resort right on the water. It has a 5 star resturant it is located beside the Harbor master. You get to watch the boats come in and out. They have 2 pools. They also have jet ski rentals.
