Waterwheel RV Park & Campground
About
The Waterwheel RV Park and Campground is situated in one of the Oregon's premiere recreation areas and is located on Highway 97 just 22 miles north of Klamath Falls and 3 miles south of Chiloquin. The RV Park sits on the bank of the Williamson River, renowned for its trout fly-fishing. Our park is an older park, but we are continually making upgrades and enhancements, including our remodeled restrooms, laundry room and 50-amp electric. We have 32 RV Spaces and are open 7 days a week, 9 months of a year. We are closed December thru February.
There are 6, 60' pull-thru sites on our Riverfront row, with beautiful views of the Williamson River. These have 20/30/50 amp electric and water - NO sewer. Also on the river are 4, back-in sites with 30-amp electric and water - no sewer.
Our middle row has 9, full hook-up pull-thru sites, ranging in length of 40' to 70'.
Our back row has 7 pull-thru sites, and 4 back-in sites, all with 20/30/50 amp electric and water - no sewer.
The west side of the property has 2 back-in sites, with 30-amp electric and water - no sewer.
There are NO tent sites, and car-camping/sleeping is not allowed.
Waterwheel RV Park is open 7 days a week and closed from December through February for the winter.

RV Park on the Williamson
I rarely stay at an RV Park. This one fit the bill for the one night stay. Right on the Williamson. The best site for space is 11, with power and water. No septic. I had that reserved but elected for the second best site 6. It was a pull through and it was just me and the dog. Staff was helpful, park was clean.
Gateway to Klamath Falls or Crater Lake
Friendly staff. RV sites were tight. The way they are setup, after your neighbor and you are hooked up, all of the hoses and cables for the utilities come right up to your picnic table slab. That's your main view. We were in the row that had full hook ups as there are several without. From the staff we got a recommendation and directions to Wood Lake wetlands. We did a 20 mile ride there and it was spectacular. The town of Chiloquin isn't much to see, but K Falls is about a 25 minute ride each way,

Only 45 per night
Water and 50 amp hook ups. I can’t complain.
Pleasant clean RV park
Clean restrooms. Grassy areas beside crushed stone sites. Pleasant and quiet . Nice hosts. Alongside Williams River. Pull-throughs and easy back-ins. Mostly huge rigs while we were there.
Small Campground Lovely Location
A small campground on the banks of a pretty river. Sites are gravel, a little tight but level. Bathhouse is new and clean. WiFi is on and off but ok.
Riverfront
Very accommodating . Lovely river view and access. Laundry, showers and bath were neat. My husband rode his bicycle from here up to Crater Lake.
A decent RV park
We are generally not fans of RV parks but there were not a lot of options on our route near Klamath Falls. There are 34 sites; sites 12-20 are full hookup; the others have water and electricity. Sites 1-11 have Williamson River front views. The full hookup sites are in the center and have no privacy between them (but people in these sites would typically have larger RVs and not need privacy as much). In my opinion, Site 11 is the best site as it is a corner site with the most privacy.
The restrooms/showers are immaculate and are accessed via a keypad. There is also a very nice laundry room, playground (a bit dated), boat ramp, small beach (tents can set up here) and fire pit, and a dump station. There is actually a waterwheel! Cell service is strong and there is free WiFi.
Note that this park is located on Highway 97 and you will hear road-noise, especially at night when everything else quiets down. Despite this, we had a pleasant stay and Tracy in the office was very nice and helpful (we needed an additional 30 amp tail to use the electric and she provided us one to borrow).

Great Base Camp or Stop Over
This is a great spot to explore Crater Lake and Lava Beds National Monument from. The owner was very accommodating when we wanted to check in early. The bathrooms are newly remodeled, very clean with free hot showers! Even though the park is pretty close to the highway it is a very peaceful place next to the river. It was still in the middle of some site upgrades when we were there but it was not an inconvenience at all.
Nice RV Park to Explore the Area
Easy check in in this quaint little RV park right off OR 97 on the Williamson River. We were directed to our pull through site 26 with water and electric but only 30 AMP. We had to disconnect and park in the little field across from or trailer, which was not a big deal. Our site had 30 AMP but there were 50 AMP spots in the middle and on the river rows. All three rows with RV hook ups had sites close together as we had to adjust our rig to clear trees so we could get our slides out. There were plenty of areas to include a small playground and large grass area to walk the dogs. Verizon cell, cable, and the WIFI all worked well. Water Wheel was a well kept campground with 32 RV sites plus a private island connected by a small walking bridge across the river for tent campers. If we were tent campers this would definitely be a great place to camp. We enjoyed exploring the area. We would stay here again, but would definitely book in advance to get a river row site with 50 AMPs.

Cute place to stop over into
This place was quite and nice to stay at!! The restrooms were beautiful and the river was so nice!! It looks like a great place to fish as well. I would not go swimming because the water was COLD.

Great site for everyone
The camp hosts were very accommodating. The site has. Nice area for dogs to run off leash. The kids loved playing in the water and the playground. The bathrooms were extremely clean.
Great Location & Great People
We stayed for one week in site#23 with 50-amp electric service and water. Only the middle row of the park has full hookups, although the park has been making improvements since the current owners took over a couple of years ago. The manager and camp hosts are terrific! Very welcoming and very friendly. Most of the sites are small. There are a couple of sites that are a little bit bigger, especially those sites facing East. Site#11 is the best, in my opinion, as your patio would be right on the river! Aside from the size of the small site, the only downer for us is there weren't a lot of places to walk our dog without driving somewhere and no enclosed dog area. Otherwise, the park is dog-friendly. Plus, you and your dog can swim in the Williamson River that is there onsite. Cell signals from AT&T and Verizon provided enough connectivity for us to work during the week. AT&T, in particular, had a very good and strong signal. As the park is only about 40 minutes from Crater Lake National Park's South Entrance.
Great campground , but choose your site carefully
We picked this campground as our base for visiting Crater Lake, though it is a bit of a drive (45 minutes to Rim Village, not including the wait to get through the gate- go early!!!). The pull-through sites are very tight, but the back-ins (especially 33, 34, 11, and those that back up to the river) are great. Nice staff, level sites, and a lovely park!
Great spot next to the river
We pulled in VERY late due to a mechanical breakdown and the camp host still came out to meet us.
The spot was easy to pull into and had hook ups minus dump (which can be found at the entrance).
The camp store is well-stocked and the host was awesome and very helpful.
It’s a dog friendly camp with direct access to the river and plenty of beautiful scenery.
There were also some people fly fishing.
Outstanding service, views, and the best bathroom ever.
You will not be disappointed! Wish I could have stayed longer!
Easy Riverside beauty
So easy to access for a night or two off the 97 Clean, serene and great bathrooms and showers. Our spot was riverside and you could walk right out and sit at a picnic table on the river or lay out in the sun on their beautiful dock. Great experience.
Nice spot for a short stay
Nice, clean, RV park. 50A service and water. Riverside with lots of birds--meadowlark, swallows, ducks, geese, finches, red-winged black birds, magpie and a pair of eagles! Close to some nice hiking at Klamath falls. Some sites, including ours had a fair bit of slope front to back.

Beautiful setting along the River
We stayed here for one night while traveling between Lakeview OR and Medford. It's a clean, cute little campground located in Chiloquin, north of Klamath Lake. Easy walk to Williamson River where there is a dock and boat ramp. The spaces were very close together however. Staff was friendly and we didn't use the restrooms or laundry facilities so can't comment on the cleanliness. But from the looks of the park, I'm sure they were clean. We could not use the BBQ because the RV next to us had a slide that came out over the BBQ. (see photo) But overall, very nice, small park in a great location.
Clean and cozy
Clean family owned. Right on the Williamson River. Showers are amazing and so clean. This is a great spot to spot in if you are passing through or need a break for a day or two. You have about 8’ from your RV door to your neighbor’s. Not much in the area to see. We will absolutely be back if we are passing through! Staff was so so friendly! Not sure about the prior reviewers experience but we did not have anything of the sort.

The views almost make up for getting screamed at
I slept on the island, which was a unique experience. The camp ground was clean and very well maintained. Overall, a pleasant experience. That being said: I made my reservation over the phone on the same day. The lady was cordial and sounded nice over the phone when I let her know that I would be arriving later in the evening. However, when I arrived I was "greeted" by a man in a neon yellow shirt yelling at me from across the parking lot. He was telling me to leave and that I needed to "turn my *ss around and get off the property". This was very unsettling as a single woman traveling at night to an unknown campground. I replied to him by saying that I had a reservation. He shrugged and walked away, but continued to watch me set up camp at my designated campsite. I brought this up with the owner, and she made excuses for him (apparently he was the maintenance employee) , saying that they had been having problems with people using the campground as a park. Regardless, I suggested that they treat anyone who comes onto their property with kindness until they figure out whats going on. No paying guest should be yelled at. Ever. I will not be returning to this campground.
Right on the Williamson River
Right on the Williamson River, this campground is beautiful. The owners are very nice and accommodating. It has full hookups and a nice grass areas for tents. The bathrooms/showers were recently remodeled and very nice and clean. The river is great for fishing, and in the late summer you can catch crawdads for a delicious crawdad boil. In the office they have outdoor games such as corn hole and ladder ball you can use. Reservations are a must! It fills up quick in the summer.
full hook ups and by the river
this campground has all the necessities . a laundry spot, playground, full hookups, boat ramp, etc. Seems like it caters more specifically to RVs and is close to hwy 97. It is a really clean well maintained spot. This campground is also right by the river which is really pretty.

Very nice
One of the nicest campground we have stayed at. The bathrooms were beautiful and very clean. The whole campground was very clean. They had a nice laundry room too. My daughter liked the little playground and caseing the groundhogs around their hill.
