Off the Grid

I like that this site is out off the grid. It is a basic site with minimal amenities but surrounded by forest and hiking trails. THe road is not far, but you will feal like you are out in the middle of nowhere.

Off grid oasis

This was my first time at Cedar Creek. We have a great time and there was only 1 other campsite with occupants. Here’s a pros and cons list to make it easy for you. PRO’S -remote, heavy forest nearby, beautiful landscape -every site on the North side of the campground has a trail down to the river. Site 7 has concrete steps to the river. -fire pit and picnic table at every site. -quiet campground (but only 2 sites occupied while we were there). -miles of hiking trail at the start of the campsite. The park is divided into a day use site/trail head access and the other side is camping. -river is about 25 ft from the campground. -cool waterfall a few minutes walk up the trail.

CONS -No water or electricity. (This is actually a pro in my opinion) -south facing sites are 20 ft from the forest service road. If there’s any traffic you’ll hear it.

if this campground was fully occupied I’m sure it would feel cramped.

We loved our stay here and will be back again for sure.

Primative and delightful

Great spot to get away from the usual busy family campgrounds and state parks. Nothing fancy here. Vault toilets. Don't remember if there is even running water. But Adjacent Brice Creek is refreshingly cold for a swim on a hot day.

First-come, first-served campground. We had plenty of privacy from our neighbors. Right next to hiking trails along the creek.

Great place to relax

No water despite being listed here. Nice little campground with swimming holes nearby and good waterfall hikes. Close to the road but traffic is light. Lots of cyclists on the weekend.

Serene

Many years ago, when my kids were little we went to this campground yearly. It had been probably 10+ years since I had visited and was more than pleasantly surprised at how little it had changed. The camp spots are large and far enough apart that you don't feel like you are intruding on your neighbors. It was also very clean and well maintained. The restrooms were cleaned daily and even though they did not have flushing toilets they were not smelly like many I have encountered. The Creek is beautiful and there are many hiking trails to Swimming Holes and Water Falls that are simply beautiful. The water is crystal clear but also very cold. Love this spot. Will be going again in the years to come.
