Silver Springs Campground

We enjoy camping in this local park. It's quiet, and everyone is very nice here. The park Mgr. is very nice and helpful as well.

Small open campground with pretty basic sites, electric only with no water or sewage at the sites amd no shower facilities. There are portable bathrooms located throughout campground. Some sites have trees and some are full sun. The campground attendant was a very friendly man who asked several times if we had questions about the area. We stayed here so we could go to a concert at Blossom Music Center which was around 20 minutes away. Bow Wow Beach Dog Park (in the same park area as the campground) was awesome if you have dogs that like to swim or just need to get some energy out after being leashed while camping. Would visit again especially if another act we like plays at Blossom.

I stayed at this park on two occasions. There are some treed sites and some that are grassy fields with a dirt driveway. Electric hookups have a 15 amp and 30 amp and you get one or the other depending on your site and the guy behind you gets the other. The only problem with this is that the outlets are at the top of a gentle slope, so if your power cord isn’t long enough you either need to park on the slope or pull to the top of the slope and kind of get in the other guy’s way. There are flush toilets and sinks available a few 100 yards away that close in the evening and otherwise there are porta potties. The dunp station was overflowing on my first visit but fine to use in my second visit. According to the attendant it is pumped out once a week but may fill up when it rains. Overall this is a nice park for a great price. It is very convenient to the CVNP and fairly close to Cleveland with about a 45 minute drive to downtown.

Silver Springs Campground is a small 27 site campground in Stow, Ohio, a convenient 17 minutes from Cuyahoga Valley National Park and a bargain at $18/night for a site with electrical hookups. 

While there isn't much to say about the privacy at this campground, because you are generally just staying in a field, the manager was absolutely wonderful and gave us all kinds of maps and information on Cuyahoga National Park when he came around to check us in. 

The campground can get very muddy during the wet season- the town offers a good description of each campsite on their website and we found the descriptions, as well as their warnings about flood potential, to be very accurate. Our site had a large mud hole, so we joked that we had a waterfront campsite and just rolled with it- the sites were large enough that we didn't have to park near the water. 

Despite having a dog aggressive dog, we were able to check out Bow Wow Beach nearby because we went early enough in the morning that nobody was around. The dog park is really fun and offered a great opportunity for our dog to run around before we got back on the road. 

We were really happy with this campsite and would definitely return at some point if we needed to visit Cuyahoga again.

Close to Cuyahoga Valley National Park and very nice/helpful park manager!

We stayed for only one night but I wish we stayed longer! The campsite was quaint but very peaceful. Sites were a good size and fit the online description well. Some sites are full sun while others are mostly shade but the website describes them well. Staff was very friendly as they made their rounds! We checked in late and they came around and gathered our info and told us about the place.

Bathrooms are just port-a-johns located on either side of the campground but there are flushable toilets a little walk away.

Would recommend this place for a little trip by yourself or with family! There is lots of green area to play a game.

Campground was okay. Open concept, camping spots were a little too close giving the whole place a ‘library’ feel. No one wanted to say hi and it seemed like everyone was quietly watching everyone else. Didn’t make for the most pleasant stay. Camp ground manager was super kind.

Unfortunately the city maintenance was there 2 mornings in a row with construction equipment, at 8am. They really should wait until the afternoon to do construction work on the site.

We were in the area exploring Cuyahoga Nat Park and found Silver Springs. It was 18$ for a site with electric hook ups (15$ if you are a Stow resident) No option for no paying less for no hook-up camping. Water close by and port a pottie style bathrooms close to the camp sites. There are flush toilets a walk away but we didn’t use them. Sites are big and grassy but not super level. Wasn’t a big issue for us but could be for a bigger camper. The campground was calm and quiet. Lots of trails close by. Dog park down the street as well as a play ground and fishing pond! We had a great few days staying here and will be back if we are even passing thru Stow again.

This site is easy to find and very close to cuyahoga national park. Lots of space beautiful sunsets and on a clear night you can see quite a few stars!

Right nearby there is a dog park called Bow Wow Beach:-) our dog absolutely loved it! We biked from our site!

Stayed here to be close to the NP and it is a great little campground for a reasonable price. Big dog park with pond on the other side of the park. Sites are uneven but my favorite part was the wooded path.

found this little camp in hopes to be near the national park. the manager was super sweet and friendly. the sites are decent (a little close to one another), but come with amps for electric, a fire ring, and a picnic table. would definitely recommend.

A little muddy, but we had outhouses, potable and non potable water, dumpsters and an RV dump station all within a stone's throw. (We were at campsite 1) Actual restrooms were a bit of a hike away, but had hot water and flush toilets. Camp host was very welcoming, and offered directions to anywhere in town we may need. For $18, each campsite has a campfire ring and picnic table, which is more than can be said for some of the more expensive campgrounds we went to. Overall, it was a good experience!

Had electric and port-o-johns as described. (One restroom with running water down over the hill that closed at 11pm) the place was exactly as described in their website. The site Manager thT would make his rounds was very kind and helpful, giving us tips and telling us about the local area.

Quiet area, you can hear the peeper frogs in the early spring.

For the price I would definitly camp here again.

My partner and I stayed here to visit Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It was a really short drive to the park and loads of hiking trails (most are dog friendly!). There were multiple potable water stations and electric hookups. We want to come back to bike some of the awesome biking trails that are around.

Cute little campground tucked away right in a city. Bigger lots. Nothing is very level. Everyone extremely nice. No shower houses; running water and toilets a long walk away; portapottys very close. Perfect for a self contained camp.

Great spot. Only $30 for 2 nights. Has electric hook up but not a water hook up. Does have fresh water in different areas of the campground for use. Would camp here again.

Sites are grass or overgrown gravel. Semi-level. Our first visit at site #1 was very difficult to level a 24 ft trailer and full sun. Returned a few weeks later to site #4, was much more level and full shade. There is also a wooded walking trail network on the east and North sides of the campground.

Spoke with Department Office who was very helpful in pointing me to the current reservation web site.   5 Star rating is only based on interaction with telephone staff.  Will update review again after visiting.

Stopped here on a road trip traveling East to west. Campground is in a residential type area with houses and neighborhoods nearby. Campground staff were very friendly. Vaulted toilets which were very clean and we could also use what seemed to normally be the bathrooms affiliated with sporting fields which have hot water and flush toilets. Not much space or privacy between campsites.

Very nice, quiet city campground. Many unlevel sites. Only 3-30 amp hooks ups, the rest are 20 amp. No reservations. Fantastic dog park with a swimming beach for dogs only. Fun to watch them play even if you don't have a dog.

The sites are RV and tent sites. They offer coupons for return campers. The suppounding area is nice and the owners are welcoming. Very clean.

The neighbors were nice and quiet. The campsite were nice and large. There are porta potties on site but a bathroom with sinks is somewhat of a walk.

The bathrooms are portojons and there are no showers, however there is THE best dog park I have ever seen in this area. So my dogs loved this campground more than me and that was worth it. It was dark enough to see a space station cross the sky at night. The camping spaces are rather close, but so many people want to camp there, because of its proximity to everything amazing.

We really loved this little spot! It appealed to all of what we were looking for, our camp host was awesome. There was even a dog park within walking distance- a lot of trails to explore too. No showers and the Porto potties weren't the cleanest... But they were functional. Very hospitable locals- we were invited to a square dancing party that evening in the park! Very comfy and safe.
