Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town

Great site but we were situated right by the main road and hit was it noisy all night. Be warned. It looked like there were quieter spaces and I should have asked!

During our recent trip to Las Vegas, we chose to stay at KOA Sam's Town, and our experience was positive overall. The cleanliness of the campground stood out– it was very well-kept and demonstrated an excellent level of care.

One of the highlights for our family was the pool and spa area. Our children spent hours enjoying these facilities, though we did wish for additional amenities, such as a playground to add to the fun.

The customer service was commendable. The front desk staff were kind, friendly, and always ready to help, which made our stay even more pleasant.

The proximity to Sam's Town Casino added an element of convenience and entertainment. Although the campground is not incredibly close to the main Las Vegas strip, the casino offers plenty for families to do, so we didn't feel like we were missing out.

On the downside, the sites were pretty tight, which may be something to consider if you value spacious campsites. There were also no campside tables, limiting our outdoor activities within the campsite. However, given the camp's location, it seems the focus is more on encouraging visitors to explore Las Vegas rather than spending all their time at the campground.

Despite these minor setbacks, we would definitely stay here again, thanks to the cleanliness, excellent customer service, and proximity to entertainment. The KOA Sam's Town offers a great base for exploring Las Vegas and provides a comfortable retreat after a long day of sightseeing.

Great flat lots(gravel) full hookups. Good and pretty clean facilities with 24/7 laundry and cheaper than going somewhere to get your laundry cleaned. Would stay here again. Only downside is internet was on the sloww side.

Coming from southern Cali and heading to Montana, stop in Las Vegas and stayed a night at the 5225 Boulders Hwy side. Very clean and leveled. Wi-Fi worked good. Full hook ups and inexpensive. The only con is yes there limited shade so that sun is hot, especially in July. Also friendly customer service and easy on the go check in and out. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

This is a nice clean campground! Everyone has been so nice and wonderful. It’s Vegas and the pool closes at 10, we were told because the kids are screaming and playing. They need to offer adult hours after 10:00 pm. Probably would not do pet site again as the pet yards are toooooo small. Needs more trees and shade.

332 This is a nicer KOA, located near Sam's Town Casino. Staff was great to work with when we had to extend our stay for repairs. Area is a fairly noisy, but so is everywhere else in Las Vegas. All services worked as expected. Laundry room is clean. Pool area screened from the parking areas. Ice is $3.50 a bag. Site gravel, length, we had to unhook, fairly narrow, but could put slides out without problems. Not much room for a patio set up.. Our site had more mature trees which gave us a little shade on 100° days. across the street. Walmart across the road. Albertsons as well. It was a good stop over for supplies & resupply before Zion.

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was not what we expected to be honest. We have stayed at many other Koa's throughout the country and never experienced one as rough as this one. We got there and barely were able to pull our 22ft travel trailer into the spot as it was a very tight back-in spot in a cul-de-sac which we weren't originally aware of... the showers were oddly designed and very small with a very strong mildew smell, it did have laundry but the dryers barely seemed to work, we had to restart the dryer 5 times just to get our normal load dry.. The surrounding campers were loud and abnoxious and the camper across from us had a dog that would incessantly back non-stop even after complaints were made to the front(dogs are supposed to kept under control or it says you will be asked to leave) There was also ALOT of traffic noise and vagrants yelling at all hours of the night.. very difficult to sleep. The attached casino was decent for an off the strip casino but the drinks weren't free if you were gambling. The sites were dirty and there was someone dumping their grey/black water just onto the ground even though they had sewage hookups at the sites... Never again!

While traveling our doors bolt moved and we were locked out. Called the office and they sent someone over in a short time. His experience got our door unlocked in a snap!

Excellent facility short walk to Sams Town Casino. Off strip old school casino. The angry butcher restaurant however little surprise you with the quality of steaks as the food served as a very reasonable price always love visiting this old style casino

Packed in like sardines. Witnesses some employees be rude to patrons. Not a dog friendly setup. You are a commodity here for corporate profits. Not a guest with space to even put out chairs or awnings if you have a decent sized rv. I’m in a C. 3’ from my neighbors slide. You can sit in the street I guess.

Needed a place just for the night and this was available and didn’t charge us the increased rate because the Raiders have a home game. Nice RV park. Restrooms and showers were clean. Staff was helpful. My only negative was the sirens from emergency vehicles on Boulder Hwy. We stayed on a Saturday night and the fire trucks and ambulances were quite active. Casino within walking distance.

Stopped for a night, clean parking lot camping, and it was 109 degrees when we arrived. They put us in a larger site, so we wouldn’t have to unhook. We got to see an old friend, and the air conditioner kept us comfortable! We would stay again, but prefer larger sites.

Surprisingly this KOA which is a Journey has swimming and several grassy dog runs. It's right next to a casino. Its a good spot for those going to The Strio in Las Vegas, which isn't far away.

This is a one night stay for us and a last minute idea! Was a little worried about finding somewhere for an RV and peoples reviews scared me. This KOA is right off the Highway with easy parking for all sizes, 15 minutes from Vegas strip and there is a casino right next to us too. Friendly staff at check-in, 2 security men patrolling at 1am when we got in. Dog park and dog relief area are small but clean. Showers and bathrooms are well lit and clean. Pool looked good but did not have a chance to get in. Friendly neighbors too. Would definitely come back again.

The staff were very friendly and had hours until 9pm. This was refreshing as we got a late start to our trip and arrived in around 8pm. Most campgrounds this would be considered after hours. Maintenance and security were always around the park and friendly. The campground has 2 dog parks. They were both fairy clean! Thankfully we got a back in spot with grass since we did have our dog. Most of the park is just gravel. Just a 5 minute walk across the parking garage to get to the casino if you choose to go to the one that is linked up with it. Would stay here again

The location is good and it’s clean. I felt safe and comfortable here. We’ve stayed twice now fusing 2 different season. I would have preferred the November price over the April price. The showers and laundry facilities were clean.

Sorry tent campers Nevada doesn’t allow us!!! So make sure you are prepared for a different option such as lake mead or red rock. This location isn’t in a great part of town of Las Vegas however this KOA is amazing. Just make sure you keep your things locked other than that they have Great staff. Big open spaces. A nice pool and clean showers. Full hook ups and partial Hook ups. They don’t have group camping but have pull through sites that you can have the doors open up by pulling in opposite directions and they do accommodate if you have lots of friends joining you. Next door at Sam’s town they have bowling and movies. Really cool spot overall

Here are my star ratings based on my lifestyle and what I like. I'm also a mother, dog mama, and a wife so it's not just me it's my crew and i. 1 star- AUTOMATIC relocate… the property is no longer there, trashed or/and I could never have my children there and I wouldn't ever think about staying no matter what. 2 star- Not really my jam, and would NEVER go to again… It probably more of desert life and not really my style for sure…Being from Vegas I can't stand being in the desert and I love the Trees and the Green more than anything. 3 star- Would stay there again in a pinch, but not really my style, the reason its not is because not enough family things to do, the scenery, or the location… but I would go again and feel safe having my kiddos here but only if I needed to in a pinch. 4 star- a really good rating for sure, maybe needed some improvements, minor things like being on top of each other, not a lot of privacy, but honestly little cosmetic things that aren't anything to sweat and would be back again for sure. 5 star- MY FAVORITE… love the location, safety, the surroundings, big camp spots available to fit toys for my kids to play, hammocks to hang, our big family tent, cases of firewood, our suburban or RV, etcccccc….. I would not only come back but would live if I could!!! Anyway thanks for reading and enjoy every moment like it's your last! CHEERS!

Bathrooms are always clean. Security at night is awesome. Especially the two men named Guy and Bob, they are great employees/security who keep an eye on the place and keep it safe! Management is great as well.

This is a really nice place most of the staff is friendly, they were awesome as far as helping out. And understanding how hard times can Be during covid 19. Chris (manager) went above and beyond. He's one genuine person!! Showers and bathrooms are well kept, and I would stay there for sure. Hope ya'll get a chance to check it out.

We have stayed twice . Once this year and last year. Each stay was 5 days . They usually run a special stay 3 days get one free. They have a bus that will take u into Las Vegas. It takes 30-40 min. You can walk over to Sams town to gamble . Restaurants were good . Buffet closed Oct 2020.

It was quite and calm. Not many people around but it’s in the middle of boulder hwy with a Walmart across the street. 10 minutes away from the strip. I took a small trailer and it was peaceful at night.

But that's about it! As far as the parking spot, it was ugly & uninspiring, lol. But they have a nice pool... And they were kind & offered us a ride by golf cart to the Sam's Town casino so we cud get some supper! We took the bus down to the strip (30 minute ride but we saw all kinds of people at 11:00 pm!) & watched the Bellagio Fountains, absolutely stunning!!

This was our very first RV park stay ever and it was a great experience. Both the staff and the park residents/visitors were extremely friendly.

There is a free shuttle to take you to the strip but it doesn’t run very often. We ended up getting an Uber and it was pretty far away/expensive.

Pros: friendly people, clean Cons: far from strip, spaces close together in big parking lot

Located next to a casino and a short drive to the strip, this KOA has friendly staff and nice facilities. It’s also across the street from a Walmart for anything you forgot.

Koa Sams Town Las Vegas is a clean tidy place to park your R.V or Travel Trailer. They have very clean restrooms a d showers. Also cheap to stay here only its not much like camping here. Only it is in a much better part of Vegas than down off the strip or down town and Sams town casino is w/ in walking distance. So it beats staying off the strip or near Fremont St. Experience , because alot less traffic to fight thru. Koa is on Boulder Highway and Nellis blvd. Not far from the I-15  freeway.

I was here on a business at the casino next door Staff was friendly especially mike. Campground was very clean except the cigarette butts around my space 210. This was my second time staying here and I wasn’t disappointed. Great stay
