A nice place to overnight
We stayed here for one night on our way home from Colorado. After checking in at the office, an employee escorted us to our site. Site A13 was a combination of mostly gravel and soft ground. The site was not level front to back and we had to build a sizable pyramid with our blocks to get the rig leveled out.
The pool area was very nice. It was great to be able to cook off after a long day of driving. We’d definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay if you’re going to St Louis
We actually didn’t hang out in the campground very much because we spent a lot of time in St. Louis. The campsite was very nice with lots of trees. It had a pool for the kids and some fun things for little ones to do there. The campsite is 30 minutes from downtown St. Louis, and a great place to stay if you’re looking to go check out the gateway arch or go to a Cardinals game.
Decent campground
Other than the entire campground losing power Sunday morning and frying my coffee maker, it was a good stay.
Good sites, mature trees, and plenty for kids to do. The pool has a deep end, which seems pretty rare these days.
Small sites- noisy- great for kids
This is a great place for kids and families traveling together. We are a retired couple with no children and found the sites to be too close together (very small sites) and the park was too noisy for us.
Close to St Louis, but won't ever return to this site
Good location that is right off I-44 and right next to Six Flags St. Louis. It's about 30 minutes to downtown.
Spots are level and there is decent space. Nice benches at each site, cable TV hookup, good water pressure (40 psi) and 30amp connection. There are 50 amp sites available.
KOA store, restroom and showers are nice and clean. The staff were also very friendly.
One cool activity is to visit the wolf sanctuary. It's very close by.
Only complaint is KOA allowed a U-Haul and car to park next to us. They had 4 dogs, unleashed and they were using the water spigot (no hose) to cool their dogs off, which wouldn't have been a problem if the spaces were bigger. They also kept entering our outdoor space and allowing their dogs to run all the way up to my rig. Very little was done to rectify the problem, even after a phone call and going up to the office. The three solutions were to have us relocate to another site, ask them if they would move, but it would be up to the U-Haul party to relocate or refund us if we decided to leave.
This was the first time staying at a KOA and it basically negated the positives. We will not be returning to this site and will most likely stay away from KOA all together.
KOA in Eureka, MO
Nice, clean campground, level pull-through sites - ours had a paver-patio and grill, a lot of shade throughout, dog park, and a creek to explore. This was our 2nd time here. Close to Saint Louis, Six Flags, and hiking.
Awesome place
Awesome place to stay and relaxing. The staff was friendly and helpful
KOA’s Consistent Goodness
Yes, we all want the latest fancy schmancy. If there are no spots, go to KOA every time for a good campground. They use angles to give more privacy. They have patios and grills and old trees for shade.
Great KOA
This is our 4th stay at this park. It’s easy to access, spots are level, cell service and WiFi is decent.
Loud for Tent Campers
These were very clean camping facilities. Nice bathrooms and showers. Plenty to keep kids busy: rock mining, small playground, bingo, movie nights and a few other activities fit for children under age 10. They have a nice pool as well. For tent camping, night time is tough for sleeping with a loud freight train that goes by OFTEN. The spots are very small and you are very close to your neighbors, which can also be loud.

Easy off highway stop
Quick one night stop along our road trip. Decent tent sites, standard ones are definitely more private than those with electric and water. Nice spot along the creek, but had other campers cutting through our site throughout the night. Overall decent experience.
Nice and clean
Stayed here for trip to six flags, well taken care of. People are friendly, has a nice and clean pool. Little shop with all sorts of stuff.
Good location for exploring St. Louis
This campground is fairly close to downtown and very close to lots of shopping. A great place to stay to stock up on supplies before heading west. We stayed 2 nights to have a day to visit the Gateway Arch. The pool and playground seemed nice even though we didn’t use them. Nice dog park for smaller dogs. Several cabins are available along with RV sites. The tent sites are next to a river under large trees. Plenty of spaces for big rigs. Our site was no very level but nothing our auto-leveling couldn’t handle.
Beautiful
This was such a nice and serene setting. Close to the city and local attractions, yet surrounded by nature none the less. The family atmosphere at this campground brings a smile to your face and the amenities are clean and in order. We loved it. It will be even better when they invent silent trains.
Not to bad.
Not to bad. The bathroom down the hill was in dire need of a remodel when we stayed here in 2019 and be prepared for a lot of noise from the busy main road and passing trains in the near distance.
Very nice facility
Spent two nights. Office Staff was super friendly. Went above and beyond for service. Separate handicap shower facilities are always a huge plus for us. (Hubby is blind.) Bathrooms were clean.
Thirty minute drive into see Gateway Arch. Not a bad swap for some peace and quiet. Lots of shade and pull thrus. Pool was out of order while we were there, but those things happen. We would go back again for a longer stay.
Good campground
It was a nice campground with tree cover over most of it. Our site was gravel to park on with grass around it. Close to train tracks and highway, but didn’t notice with AC on in the camper. Close to 6 flags.
Good One Nighter
Nice cabins and very clean facilities!
A fine place to stay :)
This was a nice KOA campground for our single overnight. Many activities available right at the campground - plus a nice pool and good size sites with plenty of shade. Eureka is a nice town with everything you’ll need as far as food and supplies. Six Flags close by, but travel time to St. Louis was a little more than we anticipated (this wouldn’t be my first choice if the Arch and riverfront are primary destinations).
Lots to do
There is lots to do at this park. There is a pool, bike rentals, dog park, movie night, basketball court, and more. You can bring your RV, travel trailer, tent camp, or stay in a cabin. Most of the sites are in the shade and are fairly level. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. They have Ele/water and Ele/water/sewer sites. It is close to train tracks, but I only heard the train once at night. It’s close to Six Flags, shopping, and restaurants. They even have a cute caboose cabin you can stay in.
Decent Campground, Very Close to Six Flags
Decent campground. The site we had was very small and there are train tracks that run near by the campground so it can be quite noisy. The pool is nice as well as the bathrooms and showers. It is basically across the street from Six Flags and so can be very convenient.
Busy
Lots to do at this campground and lots to go see. Close to all the St Louis attractions as well as practically across the street from Six Flags. There is a pool and store on site. Just a couple miles away there is a grocery store and restaurants galore.
There are two two very good RV dealerships nearby with all the supplies or service you could need.
There is a group pavilion and meeting room available. I was there with a large group from Sisters on the Fly and we were comfortable. There were at least fifty of us and we we not the majority camping there.
All the facilities were clean and well maintained.
Close to Six Flags
Pool. Showers. Movies. Camping.
Close to Six flags yet far enough away you aren’t hearing it.
It was clean. Easily accessible.
LEDLENDSER MH10 and KOA Route 66 review
Campground review:
Once googling local campsites at the last minute for a weekend getaway with both dogs, we came route 66 campground. They have a dog park, rv hookup sites, electric tent sites and primitive sites. We stayed at a primitive tent site with both dogs. Site t13, which unfortunately was one of the very few camp spots with zero trees so we're unable to use our hammock. (Most of the other sites had great trees for hammock setups). Other amenities on the campground included a heated pool, bike rentals, basketball courts, a country store for firewood, supplies, and gift shop. Needless to say this was not a "roughing" it type campground. For the dogs though, we were right across from the creek to take them down to play. Also, kids were catching crawdads! Great campsite that is pet friendly and very family friendly!

Ledlenser mh10
This headlamp first of all comes with a 7 year warrantly(must register the product)! On top of that all these features: a rechargeable battery with a USB port. Rapid focus system with 2 tough button on headlamp to adjust lighting. The strap is very easy to adjust and fit to comfort, lightweight despise the battery pack attached to the headlamp. The lighting is phenomenal! You also get a green and red additional glass lense that you can screw into the front of your lense for any activity and not disturb others with a bright white light. Me, howsoever, I was able to on this camping trip, use the headlamp to continue to play a game of cornhole... and winter, might I add.. thanks to my headlamp for optimal vision;). Included are some pictures of how bright and fitting the headlamp is. I was highly impressed! Never once did it slip... which I have struggled with in many headlamps that it seems the lamp is too heavy and slowly makes its way down your forehead. The Ledlenser stays in place and is very comfortable! Also, doesn't leave that weird band line on your head... at least I didn't experience it like I have on others. Very impressed overall!

KOA Eureka, MO
This KOA had lots of stuff to do, but I was only here driving through one night. The campsites are lovely and flat. This place is right beside Six Flags. I would def stay here if I was going to Six Flags. We were in town to visit the City Museum, which is the most fun ever. Bath houses weren't memorable, but the KOA shops has everything you need.
Close to 6 Flags
This was our first campground in the St. Louis area and proved to be in a fantastic location. We tent camp and the setting was great with a nice stream and cliff walls close to the campground. We walked to 6 Flags which wasn't to tough but took maybe 30 minutes. We also used it as a base camp to explore St. Louis. Everyone at the park is friendly and accommodating which makes a return trip likely in our future if we are in that area again.
KOA Missouri
We decided to try out KOA to compare the differences to Jellystone. It seems like the pricing was pretty similar and the cabins are nice at both. I guess it's a toss up.
Great Times At The KOA
It was me, my husband, 2 kids, my father in law and the family dog. We stayed at a tent site. It was nice and clean. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The kids loved the playground and pool. We all enjoyed the bike rentals and can't wait to come stay again. Thank you a great time. :)
