Nice quiet place
We stayed for 4 nights and it was very quiet and relaxing. We attended a wedding at the Scottish Cathedral in the center of downtown Indy and from the campground, it was a nice drive into the city off the interstate that only took about 20 min. The sites were all nice and level with a crushed stone base. Our site had a nice grass lawn near the water. But, near the water there was the resident Canadian geese and the "mess" they leave. That aside it was very nice. Their facilities were also awesome. We had 50amp service and measured 119vac with both a/c units running. We would definitely stay again. Also, we walked up and down all the various roads within and it turned out to be a nice 1.1 mile walk.

Clean
Clean campground. They have fire rings but they’re communal not at each site. Lots of full timers with little dogs that bark non stop. We have large dogs that would get riled up by the small dogs barking. Clearly no one cared about barking though. Close to the city without being “in it”. We would stay here again.
Near Indianapolis, just off I69
Excellent WiFi and facilities. Family owned 20 years.
Not nice
We tried to camp here one night on a trip along 70 and we got there pretty late so we were driving around trying to orient ourselves and essentially found that there were no spots. We were trying to turn around and get out but it’s like a maze in there. Which is not a diss on this campground. That is totally fine. Just made it more difficult. As we were on our way out a car started following us and we were really confused. We came to a dead end and he pulled up to us and asked what we were doing and said there were no sites available. He also told us that they don’t have tent sites which was not clear to us but we sleep in the car so it actually doesn’t matter. He was really rude. So we left to find another campground.
5th Wheel camping
Visiting here with friends with a 5th wheel. There wasn’t much space on their site, and it didn’t feel like “camping” to me. It worked for them to be able to visit friends in the area and have a place to park. Felt like a upgraded parking lot to me. Not impressed... although the people running it are very nice.
Good for an urban campground
This campground id minutes away from Luca Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. For an urban campground, it is better than others. The grounds are clean and the sites aren't too tight. It isn't scenic but if you want a safe place to stay and enjoy the city, this fits the bill.
Mighty fine campground for a city
This place is pretty awesome. It's doesn't have any of the typical summer amenities like a pool but the ones it does have are in tip top shape. Campsites also don't have fire rings but there are a bunch of communal ones around the lake. Plus free communal firewood. The laundry and bathhouse is really stellar too. Clean and open 24/7. Plenty of washers and dryers. There are easy back-ins and pull-thrus. Think some of the pull-thrus are for group camping too the way it's set up. Dog park, free cable (like 60 channels!) and internet (haven't tested strength yet)! I dig it!
