Trackrock Campground & Cabins

About

Trackrock Campground & Cabins and Trackrock Stables is a 250 acre paradise of meadows, hayfields, and woodlands in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. Located between Blairsville and Hiawassee, Trackrock is completely isolated from all other commercial developments. The property is bordered on three sides by the Chattahoochee National Forest.

As a designated Appalachian Botanical Sanctuary, great care is taken to preserve the natural environment. Wildlife, flowers, and flowering shrubs are abundant throughout the campground and surrounding area.

With our 95 level, shady, uncrowded campsites, Trackrock offers camping for everyone – tents, popups and RVs (max 40′ please). For RVs and pop ups, we offer both pull thru and back-in sites which include water, 30 and 50 amp electricity and sewer. We also offer water and electricity sites for tents. All sites have picnic tables and fire rings. Our modern bath houses are kept spotless and are equipped with hot showers. At Trackrock we are happy to host Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, group camping and church groups.

For those who prefer not to camp, we have cozy, comfortable one and two bedroom cabins. The cabins are fully furnished and are ready for your immediate occupancy with full kitchens and baths, (bring your own towels) covered porches, and all modern amenities including air conditioning and satellite TV.

For fun, we have horseback riding, summer horse camps, riding lessons, swimming, fishing, playgrounds, hiking trails, hayrides, picnic pavilions, and more.

Folks have been enjoying the relaxing and refreshing North Georgia Mountains at Trackrock for more than 50 years. Why not join them?

Great Place

Has all amenities, wifi is on the “better side than most”. If you enjoy mountains, horses and lakes. Your odds of enjoyment may be high.

Sure its a lil busy during the camping season, as it has so much to offer.

Beautiful Area

Great campground surrounded by the beauty of the North Georgia mountains. Also a working horse farm so be sure and schedule a guided horseback ride. Full hookup sites that are private. Campground also has bathhouse and laundry facilities.

Beautiful campground!

Stayed 4 days tent section (June 2023). Staff were excellent, helpful & very friendly. Water & elec. hookup (30 amp.) all worked. The pond area & views were beautiful. We had a well shaded site w/a little creek behind it. The ground was hard & pretty level. Make sure you have solid tent spikes. Bath/shower house was clean but could use an update. Gravel roads have some ruts, but posted 10pm works. We will go back!

Separated, serene lots

First time renting a teardrop trailer and camping in it, lot was tricky for us to back into but we managed and the set up was great with a fire ring, picnic table, potable water and hook up. Also a great view. Nice and quiet site with bathrooms and showers nearby.

Tranquility

This place has absolutely breathtaking views, nice lake, well stocked little office store, nice game room, did not do the equestrian part, but I’m sure it’s well worth it.. town is not far and has some good shopping and local restaurants. Definitely worth the trip...

Trackrock Rocks!

Trackrock is a family owned campground with something for the whole family. Besides wonderful private, wooded sites, there are great amenities. There are 2 super cool playgrounds for the kids; hay rides and lots of room for kids to run and explore. Since there are stables on the grounds, it’s a great opportunity to see M GA mountains by horse or let your little one ride a pony. Like all that isn’t enough, throw in a little lake/ giant pond   There’s a beach for swimming; you can kayak , fish etc. Tons of trails on site for great hiking.

It’s so nice to have so much to do right on site.

Honestly couldn’t ask for kinder staff. You’re going to love your trip to Trackrock.

Amazing Time

Beautiful and Fun! Celebrating family in the woods instead of town! Had a wonderful family RV vacation. Our 1st ever, in a 38’ Class A. We were nervous about parking and getting set up- but they helped us get a spot that was easy to pull into. Great site managers and well appointed! Will return

Beautiful place

Absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the cabins. Cabin #1. We attended the Hammer-In in the fall of 2019. That event itself was awesome. Campgrounds were very clean. Cabin was good, clean and comfortable. A little close to the neighbors is my only unliked thing about the whole place. I’m an isolation type of person though so.... fuck it. It was still AWESOME! I’ll be back in the spring! Oh also dogs are only allowed in one of their cabins. Kind of bummed about that but I understand. Another downer but won’t stop me from going back.

Beautiful

We stayed here for family reunion June 2019. We stayed in campsites and cabins. Cabins are so cozy and cute. They have a gas fireplace. Beautiful view of the lake expecially cabin 2. Lake is clean and refreshing. We stayed on hilltop section of the campground. Road needs some work sites aren't super level but it was ok. There was a nice covered pavillion by us. Full hookup and wifi. Staff was very friendly and lots to do in the area.Tubing at Pappy's was very close and really fun.

Beautiful mountain park.

This park has amazing views of the surrounding mountains. Lots of shade. It has an equestrian area where you can book horseback rides. The people that run the park are very friendly and accommodating. Lots of hiking trails both in the park and outside of the park. There were only 2 negatives that we had on this trip. One was our first encounter with "stink bugs". They were everywhere and you couldn't keep them out of the RV. When we got home to Florida we were still killing them inside the RV for almost 5 months! The other negative is that hurricane Micheal was barreling for Florida before our stay was up at Trackrock. We had to cut our stay short so that we wouldn't be driving through a hurricane.

We loved it!

We were planning to head to Vogel State Park to camp but got a late start and by the time we got there, there weren’t any spots left. Trackrock was a short drive away and set in a BEAUTIFUL spot at the base of some high rolling hills. The trees are big and beautiful and the camp spots have everything you need! Quite a few RV’s but we tent camped and had a great experience. Definitely would recommend!

Relaxing

We stayed here for almost a week. Friendly staff. The grounds are very well kept. There was wifi available so we were able to utilize our Fire TV without any problems. My husband lived that there were many mountain bike trails nearby as well as hiking trails. Downtown Blairsville is also very convenient to this location. I also got to enjoy a lovely horseback ride on Chubby Checker with Sonya....that was the highlight of the trip for me.

Ranger Review: Nature’s Coffee Kettle at Trackrock Campground.

CAMPGROUND REVIEW

As I was walking around the campground the word roughstic came to mInd. The road in was rough, the campsite was nice enough but somewhat minimal and the decor rustic. We had one outlet and water, a picnic table and a firepit. After setting up around 8 pm we cooled off by the fire. Our ac has its own plug, and there was nowhere to plug it in. We were in the section with tents and other pop ups. The bathhouse was clean and the hot water was hot. A short walk from site 34 are playgrounds, a beach/pond, swings, horseshoes. Speaking of horseshoes, horseback riding is available at this facility. They also have hay rides for a small fee. The staff is very friendly , and the office is nice. There is a game room with a tv, pool table, puzzles, games and books. Right behind the game room and office is a porch with rocking chairs. We got ice cream bars for $1 each and ate those in the rocking chairs overlooking the pond. Fishing and swimming is allowed here. This is a good place to sort of step back in time and relax and unplug/unwind.

PRODUCT REVIEW

As a Ranger for The Dyrt, I get products to test from time to time, and on this trip I got to try Nature‘s Coffee Kettle. I enjoy camping and coffee so I was excited to be able to try this out. There are instructions on the back of the kettle which are easy enough to follow. I can be somewhat of a coffee snob. If bolder coffee is your preference they suggest running the coffee back through a second time. I tried it with just one run through just to see how it was. It was good enough for a cup of coffee in partial woods. I really like the compact size, ease of use, and the fact that the kettle is reusable. I look forward to using it again and trying a different flavor. You can check them out at:
