Overall great stay
The camp is located in a great location between the beach and the river. There are many shaded camping spots. The showers/restrooms were a little dated but clean. Easy check-in process including an after hours check-in. Camp is set up well to make it easy to navigate and get set up. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend to others. There are two restaurants within walking distance as well.

Great Campground

Great Campground !
We had a great time here with friends and one of our grandsons. Site 50 is completely private and plenty big enough for our camper, truck, gazelle and dog pen. Only negative is all the sites are dirt, including the roads so you will have dirt and dust. For the price they charge, I would like to see all the sites with gravel but the dirt won’t keep us away! Going for a full week next month!

Don't Give Them Your Hard Earned Money
Our tow vehicle broke down 4 days before our scheduled arrival, stranding us until it would be ready. We called to change our dates and were told we would lose our deposit and have to make a new reservation. The deposit would not be applied to a new reservation, it would be lost. When we asked for an exception under these unexpected circumstances(particularly because we still planned to stay with them for the same amount of time, just later when our truck was repaired), we were told that they only make exceptions for hurricanes and that we agreed to these terms& conditions when we made our reservation. I said that we didn't know when we made the reservation that our truck would break down and have no way to get there. The woman hung up on me. My subsequent email pleading for an exception went unanswered.
In 8 months of full-timing, we have not encountered such a strict, intractable policy or a more rude, less empathetic person. Just like the people at North Beach, I'm also a business owner so I definitely understand the need to protect one's bottom line, but unlike North Beach, I also understand the value of a little kindness, understanding, and just basic customer service.
Sunrise & Sunset views
We enjoyed our weekend! Walked to the beach in the morning for the sunrise and walked to the dock at the resort for sunset! The campsites were nice, but there are no fire pits or ground fires allowed.
not concern about guests with forecast of severe thunderstorms with tornado
had reservations for 6 days in Oct and on day 3 we had to leave due to the forecast of severe thunderstorms with possible tornados. staying there with two grandchildren and left for the safety of not getting caught in a tornado. after we left there were 37 tornados warning and one just south of where we were staying. but management refuse to issue a refund because one didn't pass thru the resort. i ask them what was i suppose to do sit outside and if one came thru hook up my RV and try and out run it ? i also ask what was more important the almighty dollar or the safety of the people staying there and they hung up on me.
Location!
This is a pretty unique location with a beach across the street, inter coastal water way on the backside and a historic city a stones throw away. Our site was #25, a back in, full hook up, with picnic table and level, surrounded by vegetation which made it somewhat private. The site was pretty narrow but sufficient. The campground roads and sites are sand. The downside was the main bathroom, which was very old and rundown, plan on using your own facilities.

One of my faves
A perfect spot between the river & the ocean. Wooded area, great fishing, near everything but feels remote, dog friendly.
Weekend Getaway
This campground is amazing! One of our favorites so far. The campsites are private and full of beautiful trees and shade. It is walking distance to the beach and the beach is beautiful and clean. The pool is definitely a plus. We watched the sunset on their fishing dock and went fishing as well. We already booked for the following month!
Camping Paradise Found!
I don't know too many places that will place you dead even between a fantastic stretch of golden sand lining the Atlantic Ocean on the one side and the brackish, slow moving currents of the Intracoastal on the other side (although down this way, this inland waterway way is referred to as Tolomato River). Add to this, you're just a stone's throw away from Ancient City (a.k.a. St. Augustine - the oldest city in the US), which is chocked full of old school Spanish colonial fortresses, medieval architecture, cobblestone pathways and enough entrepreneurial wanna-be pirate marauders on every corner, you've sworn you've died and woken up next to Johnny Depp as an extra in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean.’
This campground is fantastically hidden on a desolate stretch of the AIA where the only thing to keep you occupied (look left while heading south) is the vast blue grey of the Atlantic Ocean where there's a shallow stretch of hot, burning golden sand, strewn with broken embers of seashells scattered throughout the beachhead - where if you're lucky, you'll find a shark's tooth or two (Insider's Tip? Mosey on up north to Ponte Vedra Beach where you'll find them there by the dozens). On the right, you'll see scattered rooftops that are hidden in the overgrown jungle-like forest of moss-laden mangroves and the shadow-casting palmettos. You'll be lulled to peaceful'restitude' from the lapping of intracoastal waves as the giant golden sun burns out its final fumes every dusk by setting the horizon on fire each night as you celebrate a day of living on the land in this well configured campground.
So let's break out the basics. Upon entry, you'll arrive to the main office, inside which you'll find (surprise, surprise!) a spartan, nicely appointed and well-stocked little market of sorts. Postcards? Tick. Booze? Tick? Snacks, water and essentials? Tick, tick and tick! Another insider’s tip – while the campground store is quite impressive, if you need to really stock up, there’s a large Publix just south on AIA. Pass the main office (and huge compliments to the most amazing campground staff ever, BTW!), you'll pass through the gated entry (bonus points for this street-side campground oasis for safeguarding its guests with some decent security) to find a small, somewhat uncomplicated and well-laid out pathway of RV slots.
If I was an RV'er (and let's be clear, I'm not), I would be stoked about the pristine conditions these land architects have laid out for your stay - every single RV slot is completed surrounded by foliage, so even though you feel like it's a slanted, uncovered garage sand parking lot (and it kind of is, minus not having a roof) feel comforted by the fact that your individual slot is completely enclosed by God's green nature (which means noise and lights from your neighbors is reduced). Take this - I looked at every single slot and there's prime privacy to be had, despite being able to jump down from the safeguards of your RV and rubbing elbows with your next door neighbors for a coozy or two in just 8-10 steps.
But let's get to my tribe - if you're pitching a tent and shun the 'basic amenities' (read: I don't need light - where there is no sun, God gives me the moon and stars to paint my way and where it's too dark, I spark a natural light), then you'll be pleasantly surprised by what I found. First of all, the primitive camping area is exclusive just to those of us that 'pitch a tent.' You won't be distracted (or frustrated) by those that have driven their living rooms into nature. You'll experience a peaceful and calm serenity unlike any that I have found here in my new home of Northern Florida. There's about 8-10 tent sites, each with their own little enclave of greenery, shrubbery and green-fortified tranquility, complemented by a solid picnic table and flat land (and very little else save a communal spigot of water). You'll share a communal grille, BBQ and fire (which is fine, although not optimal, as you'll get to meet new people). Beyond the Spanish moss of these high teetotaling, yet wilting ancient trees, you'll be basked in the ever-present veil of nature's darkest, meanest, most verdant surroundings. You will hear the chirping of tree frogs. You'll experience the rhythmic bliss of small laps of river water washing up against tree-soaked intracoastal highways of water going nowhere in particular. In short, you will ask yourself this question: why is the world moving so fast when the best in life seems to slow down in these parts?
But let me finish by pointing a finger at the most amazing point of your discovery here - beyond the people you will meet, the sweet paths that you will walk down, or the startling silence you will undoubtedly encounter, you will discover this very rarified thing that exists, almost in complete isolation here, alongside the famed AIA on an intracoastal stretch of paradise - you'll have incredibly EZ access to the some of the most amazing coastal beachside that I have ever been privileged to step upon and you will be conflicted with this reality and the opportunity to shun it, in favor of the most phenomenal inward coastal riverway that will (in just a 100 strokes in your kayak) place you in the oldest city in the most important Western civilization that this world has ever known.
And you won't do this through high-speed intranet, a Zoom conference call or a FaceTime Meeting. No. You'll simply jump into your kayak. Or you'll go for a quick dip in the slow-moving current of the Intracoastal. Or you'll cross the street from this campground to follow, ever so slowly, the trepidacious footsteps on this, the most pristine, golden beach you'll ever come across.
Happy Camping!

Summer Stay
Family and I spent the week at North Beach and really enjoyed ourselves. Location is awesome and amenities are sufficient.
Location, Location
The location to the beach is outstanding. Very quiet sites.
Amenities need serious attention. Bathrooms were not clean.
Water and Electric - yes please!
We loved our private dirt site with tree separation, picnic table, water, and electric. We set up our tents and enjoyed warm showers and were able to clean up at the communal sink. A perfect first night on our East Coast bike tour!
Such a fun location for RV
Stayed one night in the pouring down rain and still had fun! Highly recommend!
Great place to camp
I had a wonderful time at this camp site. Customer service is great and the site is clean. I will be returning.
Beautiful grounds
The live oaks make sure a Serene campground. The host in the office could be a little nicer

Beautiful setting surrounded by beaches
We spent 3 lovely nights camping here. It's been pretty Cold so not many people were here. There are no ground fires allowed but luckily there is a community fire ring where we were Allowed to make a fire and get warm. )It went down to 42 degrees last night. Each campground has electric outlet and water spigot. Next to the community fire pit there is a well lit area with lots of outlets and washing machines. Also a picnic table and extra camping chairs. There is lots of hot water in the bathrooms. For the price, it seems like Thu bathhouse should be renovated, but still, they function. The campground is located near an airport so you can hear planes flying close ovehead. I definitely would recommend this site.
Remote feel but close to attractions
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in November 2021. I was right by the river and had an excellent view out my window. Very shady spots and plenty of space for long walks on the paths, along the river or across the street at the beach. I had 2 dogs & appreciated the doggy stations with poo bags and garbage. The wifi was kind of nonexistent at my site but it wasn’t missed since we were always outside on the dock, walking, or enjoying the restaurants that are literally right next to the campground. The dock is great for fishing and we met lots of friendly people. The pool looked decent but we didn’t use it because it was cold out. They have a cute little store but we didn’t have time to really check it out. It feels so remote there but it’s really close to local attractions. I can’t wait to go back!

Relaxing Campground
Very nice people. Easy in and out. Can ride bikes to town 🥳. Nice pool. Walking distance to beach. Two restaurants within walking distance. **great food and drinks 🍸.
Wifi is challenging in some areas; line of site important. I worked on computer in office lounge/TV area.
Laundry is adequate. Not sure if it was the condition of the machines or water pressure. I use vinegar and could still smell it after the first rinse cycle, then that machine didn't spin, had to move clothes to a different machine... coin operated.
Would we go back? Resounding Yes... the people make all the difference 👍 and walking the beach and hearing the waves, equals a free mani pedi, moments to reflect, and opportunities to be mesmerized by nature. lol. Who wants to do laundry anyways. 🤣

Beautiful Campground Short Walk to the Beach
This beautiful campground the perfect distance from historic St. Augustine while still being able to enjoy the beach. Great friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.
Great private sites
Close to downtown yet far enough away to get away from the hustle n bustle, site 152 is the premium site to get great view and huge!
Great location on beach
Great location across the street from the beach and walking distance from two restaurants. We had site 93 which looked the same as most sites. Level well compacted sand. Good full hookup. There is good vegetation between campsites (mostly saw palmetto and young live oak) and good cover from live oak trees. The sand roads in camp ground keep the road noise down so it was a very quiet experience. Only a few miles from downtown St. Augustine. Will be here again soon. Recommend coming in on 16 to get here. Especially if coming from the south. Bugs were not an issue in December.
Everything, and a dock!
Such a fun area and great campsite. The private fishing dock is awesome and the ocean and beach is immediately across the street. Just north of St Augustine- check out the castle, drive on the beach, and lots of good eats 🤙🏼!

Beach Haven
We had a wonderful week at North Beach Camp Resort. The campsites are private and quiet. Lots of shade. Full hookups. The staff in the office were very nice and welcoming. The beach is directly opposite the campground entrance, and is clean and not crowded. There are two restaurants within walking distance: The Reef and Aunt Kate’s. Both are great. Would recommend for a family with children or a couple traveling empty nest (like us). Will certainly come back!
Such a special place!
Sites can be chosen close to the pool and ocean, or closer to the intracoastal for fishing and dining.
Amazing!
This place is the best! The owner and staff went above and beyond to make our trip fun and exciting. I've never be to a place where the staff has gone out of their way to make us so happy.. Thank you Ami, your the best!
Thanksgiving Getaway!
We really enjoyed our stay! My family spent Thanksgiving week here and we all agree it was one of the best! We were in the back sites which turned out to be great; it was wide, deep, with lots of trees and vegetation around to give our site privacy and a beachy feel. We were as close as we wanted/needed to be to St. Augustine and a few minute walk to the beach. We were right by the river and were able to get our kayaks out. The pool was great and there is a small store on site with the basics. Just few miles down in Vilano there is grocery stores and restaurants, with even more in St. Augustine if needed. We did not get a chance to enjoy the 3 restaurants within walking distance but heard from neighbors they were all great. This is a place we definitely have on the list for future visits (maybe every-other Thanksgiving). Note, you have to bring your own fire pit with a screen, but we have a @solostove so that is preferred for us anyway.
PROs: very quite and private site. The pool was great and our kids spent a lot of time there when we were not at the beach. The beach across the street was great and convenient but we also spent time at Vilano and St. Augustine beaches. St. Augustine is a great city to check out; a lot of fun shops and restaurants in the historic downtown, the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, the Alligator Farm was awesome! We loved driving on Augustine Beach and enjoying the surf. Even a week there we have a lot of things we were not able to fit in.
CONs: For the price, the bathrooms and laundry are very old and are in need of some remodeling. The trash dumpsters are at the entrance so you have to carry out your trash quite a long way. when you are in the back (this was not a big deal for us, we took it when heading to the pool or beach, but it might be for some people).

This campground had it all
The campground was perfectly designed by someone who knows what campers want. Each site was separated from the neighbor by high brush and trees to make it seem really private. A river on the backside and the Atlantic Ocean on the front of the resort. Restaurants all around. They have a pool, bathrooms are decent and laundry was ok. Overall great place Just under $90 a night
Nice campground with beach access
Very nice privately-run campground. The sites are somewhat close together but with palm and tree vegetation between them for privacy. the bathhouse is clean and has lots of laundry machines (bring quarters or front desk had some). The campground has river access to the back and then is just across the road from a great beach. There are no signs prohibiting dogs on the beach and our pup loved running around on the beach - almost no one there on a rainy / cloudy day. We stayed in site 23 which was fine but a bit tight. It was early Feb 2021 and it rained a lot when we were there and it was good to know the bath house could be a shelter if the tornado watch developed further. Luckily it didn’t. Nice place. I’d return here for longer with hopefully better weather. I like that you can walk to nature so conveniently from the campground.
