Great campground. Very close to state park trails.

We enjoyed this campground. We had plenty of room. The campground was quiet. The check-in process was unorganized.

Clean campground with a lot of freedom and a pool

Minuses:

This campground is not well organized - we came at 4pm, office was already closed, we called customer service and they never came back to us.
You need to find a spot on your own.
A lot of country people live there on a permanent basis. If you have any problems with hard-core Republicans - that’s not a right place for you.
Tons of ants.

Pluses:

everything was really clean,
there is a pool available,
spacious dining hall,
you have freedom to pick your own spot

ATV Lover’s Paradise

If you love to ride ATV’s, Jeeps or any OHV, then this is the campground for you! The campground is OHV friendly and there is even a trail that takes you from the campground right into the Ocala National Forest! Aside from that, the staff was friendly and very accommodating. Campsites are first come first serve so you are able to pick whatever site you like when you get there. There are two bath houses and both were clean with hot showers. Restrooms were also clean and they had a laundry room too. The pool was clean as well. Overall we had a great time and can’t wait to come back.

Great for ATV riding families. Clean campground!

This is our third time staying here and plan to be back soon. Awesome trails for riding, pool for swimming and fun hiking trail! No wifi def off the grid adventure. Was a great time!

Not for a quiet camping experience

The good part is that we were able to find a spot on a busy President’s Day weekend. We arrived around 7:00 pm and they told us to park in any available spot we find. The guy was polite and it was an easy process. After driving around the campground we realized that there is no defined boundaries between each campsite. With poor illumination was really hard for us to tell what was available and what was not. Finally we found a corner spot near a dumpster. Without any light we were able to setup the popup camper and started to cooking dinner. Around 10 pm the guy came to our site to tell us that we parked in a Tent Campsite and we have to move to another spot in the morning. It was crazy to move the next day. Again no visible sign of what was a campsite. People there go camping with more than one vehicle plus trailers plus Several ATVs so they take a lot of space. There are no picnic table or fire pit in the campsites. The personnel was friendly but the campers around us were not that much. It is a OK campground if you want to go biking or ATV riding. No so much for a quiet stay and to explore around.

Won’t stay again

Large campground with numerous sites. Came on Presidents’ Day weekend. Checked in around 6pm with a friendly staff but it was downhill from there. We’ve stayed at KOAs before so had expectations. This did not meet them. We were not assigned a site. We were given a map and told to go find a spot. The map was difficult to follow and the sites were even harder to understand. You had double parked pull through which are a terrible idea unless the person in front of you is checking out before you leave. But then people were so confused you had rigs pulled in all different directions. Streets and sites could have been better marked. The campground clearly caters to ATVers (which we weren’t) which was not that big a deal, but does explain why it’s in the middle of nowhere. However, better maintenance of sites, such as sewer holes that open, water spigots that turn on, and better water pressure would be great. The sites are grass with no clear delineation between them.

Don’t follow GPS! And def NO wifi

We ended up deep in the ocala national forest. Make sure you look at a map before you go. Once you reach the forest you will lose all reception on phones. Campground states free WiFi but plan to be without. No WiFi worked while we were there. Neat trails and plan to return for summer and warmer weather and will bring atvs. Pet friendly. Seen a black bear roaming at night. John the firewood guy brought wood around for $10 in evening. Nice bathhouse if you need it.
