Great Coast dry camp.

Park parallel right on the road. You must be heading southbound. Great for last second check-in online. Best, I've ever had checking in. Sites with lower numbers. Have more sand in front and maybe easier access beach.

Rincon Parkway

Ocean front camping. No hookups. Sites sit above beach level. Must climb up/down rocks to get to beach. Some sites have easier beach access than others.

Overnight Parking

This isn’t a campground, but rather an “RV Overnight Parking” area. I wasn’t thrilled with paying $40/night (plus a$10 reservation fee) for basically a parallel parking spot along a busy road, but actually sort of came to like it. It’s definitely too expensive but being directly on the ocean is nice. The road quiets down at night.

The only amenities are garbage dumpsters, only one recycling dumpster that we saw, and portapotties, though the requirement to stay here is that you are self contained RV. We paid online and left it at that, and the ranger came by in the morning to check on everyone and we had no issues. Later that morning we saw some tags that we were apparently supposed to have filled out and place in our windshield with our reservation info.

Good Verizon and ATT service. Tide was high the entire time we were there so we didn’t get to walk on the beach at all, though scrambling over the rocks to get to the beach would have felt kind of sketchy anyway.

No tent camping

With Hobson & Faria so extremely close rincon is my third choice, but that being said it’s right on the beache but also literally on the highway. So you’re paying to pull over on the side of the highway. Ports pities and trash available. No showers, food is available if you walk to Hobson or Faria campgrounds.

Dry camping and open spots in January

We were driving by and saw this campground. We stopped and were able to easily get a spot online. Very mellow and good for road bikers. Super dog friendly.

Great place right in front of the beach

I just went, which is probably not the best time since it was cold, but I really enjoyed it because your literally right in front if the beach. I for sure will come back during the summer. Sad part is that there is no hook ups, so managing my water is the bad part. But not bad for a weekend get away.

Great beach camping, but on busy road

We camped here once in May; although the best time to go is in the later summer-fall for the warmest weather. All the campsites are parallel to the beach but on a busy road. We had a dog and newly walking baby with us, so we REALLY had to keep an eye on both of them.  We brought little baby gates which helped.  The only way to get down to the beach is to walk down the big rocks.  Some sites have a very easy access to the beach and some not so much.  You're also a few miles from downtown Ventura for a night out and live music.

127 RV/Trailer spots with incredible ocean front views

This is one of our favorite spots, incredible ocean views and 1 1/2 mile dog friendly beach. Each site, along old PCH, is 45' long. Spots along the seawall can accommodate bigger rigs. Added bonus @ nearby Hobson Beach is their great pizza & calzone. At the southern end is Faria Beach with excellent homemade coffee cake. Our dog Libbi's favorite camping spot.

Beachside Camping

Haven’t been since it became part of the reservation system, but another go to place. Not the best place for young kids, as it is too scary being right off the highway in my opinion. Just stay down on the beach (break water rocks provide a barrier if you have kids).

Beautiful beachfront camping

Stayed here a week with views of the Channel Islands, seals, sea lions, whales, and dolphins. Along  frontage road next to US 1/101 outside Ventura. No hook ups but trucks come by offering sewer/ water services. Wood trucks also come by. First come first served $32 per night. Beach just feet away and I had seals right below my rig.
