Marin RV Park

About

If you’re planning an RV trip to San Francisco, Marin Park is the perfect place for your stay. As the nearest RV campground to San Francisco, the park is within walking distance of public transit services like the Larkspur Ferry and Golden Gate Transit (the bus). We are also a short walk to several different shopping centers, restaurants and grocery stores as well as a very short drive for gas and propane refill. We offer a full range of amenities, including water, sewer and electrical RV hookups, laundry room, free Wi-Fi and cable TV. Pet-owners can enjoy a scenic dog walking area that overlooks the San Francisco Bay and a dog wash area, and summer lodgers can cool off in our heated swimming pool. Plus, the park is staffed 24/7 to provide for any emergency needs that may arise. Both short- and long-term lodgers are welcome at Marin Park, so regardless how long you plan to stay, we have a space for you.

Peaceful Park

Gravel lot 30 minutes from Golden Gate Bridge and 10 minutes to Ferry. Clean bathrooms with decent showers and security. Public laundromat on premises has vending machine for incidentals. Trader Joe’s and Chevron a few blocks away. Except for traffic noice, park is very quiet!

Only recommended if you plan to visit San Francisco

Like mentioned in the other reviews, the spots are narrow. The ground is made up of small rocks, but is perfectly level. There are no picnic tables and/or fire pits available. The person in the office checking me in was not very friendly, but that might be situational. The location is really convenient given that the ferry and bus bus stops are within walking distance (10 min walk or 5 min drive). We parked the RV at the ferry station and where able to enjoy a day of San Francisco without worrying about the RV :)

There’s is also a grocery store and a gas station right around the corner, which is convenient. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked clean and comfortably, although quite small.

To be honest, the price we paid was quite expensive for the overall experience.

Temporary stay

The area and people are great. Spots are a little tiny, and so is the pool. Well kept area and good community.

Nice camping

This is a well maintained camping, the sites are narrow specially if you have slides out. If you are in this area to visit San Francisco it’s easy to get there with the ferry nearby.

Great location

Great location to the city and Muir woods. Good stores near by. Narrow sites. No room for awning. Close to gather. Sites are gravel and level. Nice area for pets with view.

Nice dirt free campground

As others have said, close neighbors and gravel, but it's level and clean. Lady at the front desk was very cordial, bathrooms and showers clean, free excellent wifi and over 100 TV channels with full hookups. San Fran price though.

Location is the key..

For what this RV park is designed to be, it is done very well. It’s a parking lot with full hookups strategically located to public transit direct to San Francisco. It’s surprisingly quiet for being in a semi industrial area right next to the 101, but there is road noise of course. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

But I can’t give a parking lot 4 or 5 stars. That said it served our needs just fine and we’d stay there again, especially if we were visiting San Fran.

Perfect Base Camp for SF

30 mins away from the City. A bit pricy but that is to be expected in SF. Clean facilities but make no mistake about it... this is a parking lot with hook ups and the sites are in arms length in proximity to each other. It is well worth it as one can be in the city within 30mins. We will def stay here again.

location, location, location

This RV Park gets 5 stars purely for it's location.  Drive in, park and then walk to all the sights you want to see in San Francisco.  A short 10 minute walk from the RV park is the ferry that will drop you off downtown San Francisco.  We spent a week here and only drove when we wanted the experience driving down Lombard St and driving across the Golden Gate Bridge.  Otherwise we took the ferry and then public transportation to all other points of interest in the San Francisco area.  It truly is nothing more than a parking lot with hookups.
