Great stay

First time visiting little rock & this campground was perfect. Water & power hookup for each lot. Beautiful view as we were winding down for the night. Lots of geese wandering around & still chatty late at night- but kinda cute to hear. The campsites are pretty spacious for Tents with their own fire rings too. Definitely would stay again !

Great COE campground near Little Rock

Stayed 6 nights at Maumelle COE campground next to Arkansas River. Nice and quiet especially after the weekend crowd left. Nice walking trails and still close to major conveniences. We stayed in site E7 which was great for our needs with good privacy.

First Time Here / Very Quiet Park

First time here and the sites are amazing. Well spaced out. Not right beside your neighbor. Each site has water and electricity with 110, 30 and 50 amp hookups. Noticed dump stations throughout the park. There are several small campgrounds and the bath houses although dated are very clean and even heated which helps on cold nights. We met several nice people, even some who follow our Facebook page Outdoor More Family and it was nice to meet so many nice families. Plenty of wood can be obtained at a large wood pile near the entrance. Bring your own saw or bucket. Will be back for sure.

Great park

We stayed at site 30. The park is very, VERY nice. Lots of shade and uts so peaceful here. Even though the campground is quite full, it is still very peaceful. Restrooms and bathhouse is available. There are beautiful sites on the water but really anywhere you stay is quite beautiful. Sites are $22 per night. The ONLY reason we give it 4 stars is because of the horrific traffic getting here. It's a but insane.

This place is amazing. I am on the river side and absolutely loving it. I have 5G on my phone and there is high speed internet for about $20 a week. The sites along the river are huge I don’t feel crowded at all. Pads are level with water and electric. I am definitely coming back here again.

We wanted to explore the Little Rock area and this campground was perfect for doing so. Sits alongside the Arkansas River and the whole area is very well maintained. Excellent Verizon signal.

Lovely park

Maumelle was a beautiful park with great hookups (water/electric). We stayed in 3 different spots and they were all great. D02 gets pretty muddy if it rains. Wifi is only really available near the A loop but T-mobile and AT&T speeds were great for remote work. The park is extremely convenient and close to everything. Only downside is all the construction getting off the highway but that's not the parks fault!

Beautiful, close to all amenities & mountain biking

Made our reservations through Recreation.gov. Arrived on a Sunday afternoon and it was a very busy place. With its large river access I imagine it attracts all the local boaters. The playground attracts lots of children. Many large rigs arrived on Monday and the local traffic seemed to disappear.

It's a beautiful park by the AR River with lovely grounds to walk or bike. Shower was a bit moldy but usable (why I gave the cleanliness rating only 4 stars). Sites are very well spaced and you can take your chairs to the river or use the picnic benches ( some in pavilions) scattered along the river full of waterfowl and occasional boaters and huge barges.

We stayed in B2 which faced the river. If we return, I'd choose a river site but this was nice too except our 34 ft class A FDDS opened right onto a silty patch that forced us to navigate our entry into our motorhome and wipe our shih tzu's little feet really well before he came in. Despite us taking off our shoes, it was hard to avoid silt on our feet.

It is warm here but many still use their fire pits creating lots of smoke. We had to close our windows to avoid that.

As mountain bikers, we were able to visit Angry Dave's bike shop and get a few repairs and visit with the knowledgeable folks there who gave us a free AR trail book and repaired my front end suspension and added a new tire. Their two border collies are an added bonus sure to put a smile on your face. They were friendly to my little shih tzu who was welcomed. They have wonderful high-end bikes to check out. The Pinnacle Mountain Trail system was a shaded easy trail system that can be accessed right from this campground. If you like staying close to amenities, this is a great place.

Maumelle RV Park

Very nice Park, it’s a C.O.E park, we have stayed here many times. Lots of pine trees in section E. 30/50 hookup with water. Dump stations in each section of park. You are allowed to run grey water off on ground. Medical spots have sewer but will need Dr. note. Section B is River location. Park is quiet, staff is nice. There are 3 shower areas, but keep in mind, anyone who drives in can use it. Park shares boat dock area. Just FYI E10 floods in the rain.

Peace

The campground Does not have dispersed camping. Rates are $22 - 26 and if you have the correct park pass it will cost $10 per night.

I hate to sing the praises of this COE campground but I believe the word is out. If you are checking out the COE website this can be a bit confusing. The COE Book list this park as Murray Lock and Dam. If you are coming to the park you will see signs for Maumelle Park. By looking at the Arkansas River you would think the east side of the river would all be considered North Little Rock or Little Rock. Maumelle is on the west side of the Arkansas. Actually Maumelle continue across the river so the campground is considered to be Maumelle thereby making the park Maumelle Park.

The amazing thing about Maumelle Park is the beauty. You can sit on the banks of the Arkansas and dream of all the adventures past and present.

The park is very active for the community. The roads in the park are great for walking biking or just checking out all the campers with their friendly waves and hi’s. Count yourself lucky to get a space during the summer. Sites can be reserved and I do suggest you reserve. The 95 sites have water and electricity with some pull through sites. There is a dump station as you leave the park and each section of the park has a dump station. Flush toilets and showers typically COE units but clean.

It is truly a park setting with amazing mature trees. Most sites have shade. Several sites on the river but these sites are hard to come by. RESERVE RESERVE RESERVE.

There is a boat ramp and great playground for the children.

This park has a Medical section. It is affiliated with Baptist Hospital for their cancer patients. This is like a home away from home. Such a great idea.

This park is minutes away from shopping, dining, movies or Pinnacle Mountain. Check out the Big Dam Bridge, Three Rivers Park. So much to explore or just watch the fish jumping, birds flying or the children playing. This is a location where you will find as much or as little to do as you wish.

Fireworks are not allowed. If you do launch a boat or kayak and float towards downtown Little Rock there is a lock that you can go through to reach the downtown area. You will need a rope and if there are boats waiting you will have to wait your turn. In order to do this you will need to be able to shuttle your kayaks or boats back to the campground. That will be your responsibility. It is a neat float and an awesome experience. Check out the River Market and Clinton Library along with Heifer International. Remember LNT. Leave No Trace.

Lots of Noise

Stayed in May, the geese made loud noises all night. It was loud if you are in a tent. Campers from the other end of the park put on a concert of loud music and singing into the early hours. No one on site to enforce any rules. Do not get the spot across from the bathrooms. People drive up to the bathroom all night slamming car doors and start back early around 5 am. I only saw three tents and the rest RV’s but the bathroom/shower was hopping all night. Tent sleeping is a little challenging here but it’s a nice place. With 180 camp sites it’s going to be busy.
