Convenient, but Overpriced

I enjoyed the creek view and the springs, but the lack of campsite wifi is too much to give this campground my approval. The lack of wifi, especially when there is no cell coverage, is unbelievable. Had FHU, but again the connectivity is not existent, even being close to Sedona.

NEGLECT led to totalled motor home

When we arrived we were astonished to see the disrepair in this RV Park, especially since we paid over $100/night. We love to rough it, but when we want to have a nicer accommodation we accept paying a higher price for it. This was the higher price without any of the niceties. I could start with the extremely cracked concrete pad, the no privacy between sites, the lack of wifi (they advertise wifi but when you get there they ask you don’t use it to stream- only to check emails, etc- We couldn’t even do that). The power pedestal was extremely loose and leaning backwards, the cover plate for the breakers was only connected on one side, and the water pressure was very low. I could continue with when we told them we may have a couple come up to stay for one night with us, we would be charged $25 per person. I’m ok with $10-$15 for the extra car, but per person? The main factor in giving this one star is that the night we arrived we were discussing the fact that it looks like they don’t take care of the trees, and the next morning the tree right behind us fell on a very nice motor home and totaled it (slide torn away, roof dented in, other slides and toppers collapsed, a hole in the side). The first worker to see it drove up in his cart F-bombing to no end, the second worker said it’s the second worst case he’s ever seen 😳😳. We went to the office and explained we did not feel safe staying in the park. The man said he could move us but not refund us. I can tell you that there are plenty of at risk for falling trees in that campground, it wasn’t just the one by us. There was a tree literally being held up by a cut off telephone pole. The neglect in the park is apparent and we couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Our neighbor said he’s been going for 30 years (dad bought a membership back in the day when they sold memberships) and he said he hasn’t seen a penny put into the place in 10 years .

Nice campground

This is a nice quiet campground with many trees. Some of the trees are low hanging, be careful if you have a taller rv or trailer. We went in November and the leaves were all changing, awesome. There are a few activities for the kids. A nice river runs through the campground for swimming in the summer. Very spacious campground and sites are a decent size.

Callous Staff - Adam Is Horrible

0 Stars.

I'm a healthcare provider in orthopedic surgery and I can't imagine treating a patient, or anyone in any setting, the way I was treated by Adam. I've never been treated so terribly. My grandmother passed away and I had to cancel 2 days before our reservation. I called and spoke with Adam who was beyond cold. He was extremely rude and callous. Adam would not even let me finish a sentence. I barely got to explain I had a family emergency and he showed absolutely no empathy. Adam was beyond rude and hung up on me while telling me I will not get a refund.

I understand policies but I expect to at least be treated with respect and like a human being. Adam has no empathy and it was disgusting how I was treated. I asked to speak with the manager which he was hesitant about and implied that the manager will not be calling me as requested.

Regardless of refund policies, NO ONE should be treated this way. I asked to speak to the manager about how Adam treated me and not to ask further for a refund. I'm a reasonable person. I understand policies. I called to see if there were any exceptions for emergencies which there is not. I understand that but I am not okay with how I was treated.

Adam needs to be held accountable for how he speaks to and treats customers/others.

Loved our quiet stay

The only down side to this place is that it’s a tad outside of Sedona, about 15/20 mins from most of the things we wanted to do. But other than that, I loved it. Friendly staff. Large sites. Beautiful grounds, with lots of trees and grass, and a creek running behind a lot of the sites, including ours. Wifi, albeit spotty, still was helpful because there’s NO SIGNAL. Nice laundry, restrooms and easily accessible trash area. I enjoyed reading my book and enjoying the peaceful sounds of the creek and birds. Nice place!

Wicked Awesome Hidden Gem

We visited Sedona in September of 2021 and unfortunately, Lo Lo Mai was completely booked. We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to revisit Sedona this week (Feb2022) and... W.O.W. Is all I can say! What a wonderful place to stay!!! We so enjoyed our time here! Hot showers, super clean facilities, laundry, pool and just a wonderful serene vibe! The staff here, nothing but the utmost kindness and genuine smiles! Love, love, love... You will not be disappointed staying here. Almost don’t want to leave this review for fear it will be booked solid, the next time we visit. And there most definitely will be a next time. Fire rings, plenty of space between sites, hook ups... even bbq grills and wheeliii barrels to get your wood to your site! If you’re in Sedona, this is the place to be. 15 minutes froM downtown. Fairly priced. 💓💓💓

Cozy by the creek

Shaded RV Sites. Lo Lo Mai Springs has scores of beautiful shaded RV sites, many near the creek beneath the branches of ancient cottonwoods and soaring sycamores. The sites accommodate Motorhomes up to 40’ and Trailers/5th Wheels up to 36’.

We called and booked a site next to our friends which worked out great. There are fire pits and fire wood is available to buy at the camp shop as are last minute essentials.

There’s a rad restaurant “up the creek bistro wine bar” - just a short drive up the road and worth a visit for the views and atmosphere.

Hit up DA Ranch, a local vineyard and winery on the weekend for live music and the most relaxing vibe!

Page Springs has become one of the fastest growing wine regions in Arizona. With hundreds of acres now under vine, Page Springs Cellars, Javelina Leap Winery, and Oak Creek Vineyard are all making delicious wines and have tasting rooms that are open year round. The wineries are about two miles from Lo Lo Mai, making it the perfect base to check out this beautiful and growing wine region.

Beautiful!

Really nice campground, staff were all friendly and helpful. We didn't use the restrooms and showers but I peeked in and they looked decent. They were cleaned daily, just looked a little run down. The campground was pretty big, we biked around the whole thing and it was about a mile all the way around. We were in site 29, full hookups, lots of trees and shade, pretty quiet spot. Some spots were more secluded than others, but they were all pretty good and looked spacious. Wifi was spotty but we didn't really care. We would definitely go back.

Not for tent camping

Besides being way over priced. We reserved a spot. For two nights that came out to 170$. Insane. But we went for it. People that worked there are really friendly. I will give them that. But they took us to what they called our site. Just a lumpy area of grass looked nothing like a site. It had just dried up from a monsoon flood. No shade ( it was 103 degrees.) the river looked like a mud slide. Just dark sediment water. Buggy. I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here if you are tenting. We saw the site and jumped back in the truck and asked for a refund and to cancel. There's disbursed camping in the area for free that looked nicer. Just an FYI

Lo Lo Mai was just the ticket

We stayed at Lo Lo Mai Springs RV Resort for 3 nights.  The folks there were really helpful and friendly.  We are pretty low maintenance and so had zero issues to contend with.  Our WIFI booster in our trailer worked great off of the clubhouse so we did have internet that was fairly reliable and Verizon coverage was fine but we did not really use either.  There was no tv signals that we could receive but we had downloaded some movies and watched these when not playing board games or sitting outside.

The facilities overall were adequate (showers) and the grounds were neat and clean.  The creek was along side the resort and was a great place to relax.  I would definitely return.

Our site was twice the size of most campsites with plenty of room for our large popup, my SUV and my daughter’s pickup. Under beautiful trees and only steps from a creek/river. We had water and electricity hookups only. If you don’t need or want sewer you can be right on the water. The bathrooms were close and the showers were very hot and free! There was a beautiful pool and hot tub too Not gonna lie this place is very expensive! Unusual that they charged per person, per pet and per vehicle. We arrived Friday and left Monday. Originally it was going to be just two of us in the popup for 156 bucks. My daughter and two grandson joined us in the same site in our popup and that was another 136 bucks!

What a great oasis!

Wonderful time at this resort. Kids jumped into the little river as soon as we set up camp! Larger sites, electric and water, dump station. A nice mix of cabins, tents and rv sites. The only two negatives, price...and no WiFi save for a very small area right next to the office. On the other hand no WiFi may be exactly what you are looking for, especially if you have teenagers you would like to talk to!! We really loved it, the location did require a bit of a drive to Sedona and hiking trails, but the place is so lovely, you may not want to leave at all.

Charming; no cell service

Loved this adorable campground. I just wish someone had told me there’s no cell service. I tried to work remotely while here. Terrible idea. (I know) Even in 40° rain the only way to call out or get online is sitting on the (comfortable) porch of the clubhouse to catch the WiFi and use wifi calling. That works for 20 minutes, but not for two days. Quiet, clean, beautiful, great hot tub and pool. Next time I’ll plan not to work.

Nice campground but different than what I pictured

It was a little off-putting how I called (you have to call, they don't have online reservations) MONTHS ahead of time and was told that I could request a waterfront site but there was no guarantee... odd that they couldn't assign me a site then or that I wasn't allowed to choose.

They called the day before and asked that I give them an arrival time before 5pm (that's when they close) and this added a bunch of stress because we were coming from a ways away and weren't used to how slow-going RV driving was. We felt like we couldn't have a relaxing drive across AZ because we needed to get there by 5 and cut it close.

They gave a "waterfront" site (the place was super empty) but that's a stretch to say because you couldn't see the water at all - it was a short walk through trees/rocks. But once you got there the river was beautiful and peaceful. There were definitely other (empty) sites that had somewhat of a view of the river, so I'm not sure what the deal was with that - I felt like we were at the mercy of the owner's whim.

We walked around and they have a little spring/pond and had I known I would have rather gotten one of the few sites right on that. oh well.

The second night they parked someone in the spot right next to us - so odd since the whole row was empty! Don't expect privacy in between the sites - at least not the ones along the water.

I walked down to where the primitive tent sites on the water are located and they are pretty cool - right on the edge of the water. They're squished together though and you would need to carry everything a bit because they aren't drive up sites, but unique if you had a group and could take a few close sites together.

The bathrooms were clean and the showers are hot - always a bonus!

A couple alpaca greet you as you come in and that's always fun.

We used it more of a home-base for a day trip to Sedona that isn't too far away. Funny though that the best surprise was the little winery nearby - Oak Creek Vineyards.

There are lots of trees for shade and very spacious to hang out. Kids rode bikes all over. There’s a store that seeks a bunch of stuff. We were there in June.

Playground, pool and spa, this place has it all. Insane views of the stars. The only reason I don’t give five stars is there is no cell phone service and the WiFi is only very close to the office and not available near your camp. Beautiful location

The RV sites at Lo Lo Mai have mature trees, are flat, and are fairly close (walking distance) to a creek that runs along the property.

Pros

  • Flat sites
  • Electric, sewer, water, toilets, and showers
  • Shade from mature trees
  • Pool and hot tub
  • General Store
  • Close to Sedona, and numerous hikes and activities
  • The creek can provide for some fun and welcome relief from heat, plus its great for soaking tired feet after a day hiking
  • Dish washing stations

Cons

  • There is no WiFi, it states they do on the web site but it is only usable from the “club house” and even then is not useable for anything. I don’t mean live streaming and games, forget that. We had a hard time just loading email.
  • Depending on your site you may have a short walk to the bathroom and shower, but really not bad. Bring a bike and it’s really easy.

A few times a day we had some friendly goat visitors from the farm next to the camp ground and who wouldn’t love that?! Lots of tree coverage so great shade and a creek runs through that you can swim in and take your pups in to cool off. This is our go to spot every year now.

Peaceful Family Fun

Great place to RV and camp along Oak Creek! Plenty of space between sites. Ours backed up to LoLo Mai spring and a waterfall (spot 15). But bring your bug spray after dark. Short walk to 3/4 mile of creek frontage with out having to leave the park. Kids have a pool, playground in good shape, DVDs to rent for free and a general store where they can spend money on ice cream ($1.50 for a popsicle). Bring a bike for them to ride around the large campground. Scooters don’t work on dirt roads. We had a 32 foot class C, 30 amp full hook up back in spot. Hs to level about 2.5 inches in the front. Spots are well maintained with table, grill, fire pit. Ours had a concrete patio. Although I saw some RV sites did not. Tent sites don’t have patio either. Dust level is moderate. It’s Arizona, am I right?! They use sprinklers to wet roads and play areas to keep dust down.

We had 4 kids and one large pit bull with us. We were charged extra with the dog. Required to stay 3 nights. $87 a night with tax. Well worth it.

Showers and bath are clean. Laundry has one washer and one dryer working. Did not use them. The creek is the main attraction. No need to leave the campground for entertainment. Will stay again.

Bathrooms and showers were clean (Atleast the woman’s were, my husband complained about the male showers being a bit dirty). The swimming pool and hot tub are also a big hit. We hit a few wineries around the area that were great. Only downside to Lo Lo Mai is they don’t provide drinking water spickets like most campgrounds do. And it’s a heavily used campground, but not surprising because it’s a beautiful and fun campground right next to the creek. Overall great stay once again.
